We absolutely love this place and are so glad it became a regular thing on the canal. It's a lovely part of Manchester and the canal connects you to so many other interesting places. We love to wander down on a Sunday, have hotdogs and then have a few rides on the steam train on the park opposite 🙂 The people who run the boat are always friendly and the prices are very reasonable 👍
The cakes are to die for fantastic selection snacks, alcohol is also served so we can have a cheeky wine or beer sat on the the edge of the canal. Rob and Clare do alot for the community They also raise money for homeless charities. Well worth a visit and say hello 👍
Great place to grab and a coffee and a sweet treat. Loads of well labelled vegan options and child friendly too.
5* bacon roll on my morning weekend walk. Good portion size, nice smokiness to the meat and perfectly toasted fresh roll. Simple but oh so very effective at being delicious.
It's a great local coffee barge run by Claire and Rob, lots of assorted beverages, cakes and hot snacks. Sited at the back of Walton Park on the canal. The canal barge cafe is located on the canal path between Timperley bridge and Brooklands bridge on the tarmac side. Popular at weekends and famous for their bacon barms. I love their coffee and go a few times a week to break from working at home.
