Absolutely great pub! It's hard to find one that serves good wine alongside good ales, and this pub does both! Lovely outside area to quaff your beer or sip your delicious orange wine and the staff are utterly lovely! A friend and I popped in the other day and we had an amazing experience ✨️ including chilled red wine. Give it a visit you won't be disappointed!
Was a delightful brunch, went down here with my family. Food was reasonable priced, the bread, bacon and eggs were perfectly done. Service was very quick - seated 6 without a reservation. The only issues I had were a couple of forgotten items but this was rectified very quickly and there was no option to have scrambled egg.
What a MASSIVE surprise! Nordie is very understated but such a great place. Soap Street Pizza have taken over the kitchen and the food is outstanding. We have eaten pizza in Italy and New York but, I’m not joking, this was the best we’ve ever had. The menu is not huge but the craftsmanship and combinations are superb. So thin and moreish. We went down to Manchester for this from Lancaster and to catch up with our daughter and we only talked about the food. Service was casual and lovely and the Negronis were excellent. Not expensive at all for what you get and what looked like some great craft beers and specially selected ‘low impact’ wines. We stayed for another drink and to look again at the menu to choose what we’re having next time. Three Italians on the table next to us stayed all night and were hugging the two chefs on leaving. Don’t hesitate to go.
Went here for breakfast after a heavy day of drinking the day before and this is probably the best breakfast we’ve had since moving to Manchester 4 years ago. Service was super friendly and we were shocked it isn’t busier for brunch on a weekend to be honest!
Lovely place, friendly staff and really really nice food! Went there last night to try their evening menu as we had only ever had their breakfast (which is amazing!). Starter was halloumi with mange-tout and a sweet sauce and the main was beef (very tender!) with peppercorn sauce and fries, served with curried mayo. Loved it! Can't wait to go again and try their other dishes.
