Lovely salon. I'd been looking for a salon specialising in short, curly hair post chemotherapy. Victoria always asks how I am managing my hairstyle and explains how she is going to cut it before proceeding with the haircut. She then shows how to style it at the end. The stylists here wash your hair, colour it and cut it so you have 1 person looking after you from start to finish. The mints with the coffee are also lovely! This place has been a great find! 08/09 Another precision cut again today. Such beautiful shaping - I particularly love the back. Thank you Victoria! 15/02 I am still thrilled with my hair. I decided to go curly just before Christmas and Victoria listened to my requirements and did a fabulous job yet again. I am really looking forward to my next visit to the salon. Jo is really personable and easy to chat to. He always checks that I'm happy with the cut and whether there is anything I'd like him to tweak. This was my first time at Melissa Timperly, and my stylist Megan was brilliant. She was so lovely to chat with and did an outstanding job with my hair. I hadn’t had my hair coloured in years, and I wanted something that would be easy to maintain and blend naturally with my own colour, and she was spot on. I also went for a big change with a much shorter cut. I’m always a bit nervous about finding the right hairdresser because my hair has a mix of curl textures, but Megan handled them beautifully. I’m thrilled with my new cut and colour—absolutely loving it! I’ll definitely be coming back here for my next haircut. Thanks Megan!

It's the second time I've been there, I'm made to feel very welcome and relaxed. The team are very helpful and understanding...So much time is taken with the cut and colour. I'm delighted with it, and to have lovely little biscuits with a cup of tea was perfect .Definitely recommended.

Great haircut, friendly staff I always leave really satisfied with my haircut and the style is so easy to do myself. My stylist, Anna, always gives good advice about my hair colour so it doesn't get too saturated with dye products. As a result I have lovely soft & healthy hair, even though it is coloured regularly.

Ellie and Josie are the best!! Had the best experience on Tuesday evening was properly looked after, Ellie did the best job with my nails listened to all my needs, Josie gave me proper advice for the tan, couldn’t be nicer to me! Will definitely be coming back!

Lovely modern clean salon. Staff are so friendly and the range of treatments is fantastic, but the thing that blew me away was the complementary drinks menu! I had to take pictures as I've never known anything like it. Well done Hudsons! x

I am highly delighted with the service I booked at A-Star. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. Ms. Sahista (not too sure with the spelling) did a great job, the haircut itself exceeded my expectations and I am so happy to have A-Star Salon near my home. I have never had any waxing done, never mind the ‘HollyWood’ one. To say I was nervous was an understatement, I mean, you have to be a little vulnerable. But, I was greated with a smile, really polite, and most of all very calming. The room was clean and tidy and smelt nice too. This lady, there’s only one that does this kind of waxing, is so sweet and made me feel 100% at ease straight away. We chatted and laughed and addressed the obvious elephant in the room lol. I’ve been back since for my second waxing. And my partner and I are going again this Saturday for her waxing and my eyebrows! Really good value for money too.
