Highly recommend! I’ve visited Jess at Alma twice now and had a fantastic experience both times - the salon is lovely and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Jess listened to exactly what I wanted for my cut and colour and did an amazing job! I’ll definitely be back!

Alissa was lovely and gave me a beautiful set of classic lashes! The room was small and cosy, with decent music playing. I'll definitely be returning for my infills in a few weeks 😊

I was so excited when I heard Alma was opening in Matlock, I had to book in as soon as it did! The booking process was so easy, all done online & confirmation given at the end. Upon visiting Alma, I was seated at the plush sofas and given a form to fill in. Once I'd done this, I was seated at one of the nail counters. I had my nails done with bio gel by Louise. She was so lovely, really friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. I opted for gold nails (a bit of sparkle for Christmas) and the treatment was lovely! I also had biogel toes so Louise asked me to take a seat by one of the foot spa basins. This was also lovely and I opted for navy blue which looked lush! I was also offered a drink which came with a gingerbread cookie. The salon itself is absolutely stunning - light and airy and very spa like! It's modern and classy and it's been renovated to an incredibly high standard! Prices at Alba are also super competitive! I'll definitely be visiting again and might have to book a massage soon! Thanks so much for such a lovely first visit to Alba, I'll be raving about you to all my friends and family! x

Last Friday my partner Sue and I attended a wedding in Sheffield. We I drove up from Surrey on Thursday (25th June 2015) and on the way decided to have look around Bakewell. As I walked past shop windows, I was horrified at the state of my hippie style hair which had been blown out of control. I knew that it would look a disaster for the wedding, so decided to get it cut. We tried four hairdressers who were all too busy (or frightened) to help. Then at about 4pm, Air Studio recommended Bridge Street Boutique. A lovely, friendly dark haired young lady who's name I didn't get, undertook the challenge and half an hour later I was transformed into an acceptable wedding guest. My thanks to her for one of the best cuts my hair has ever had. I'm 65 and have had quite a few ! Best wishes, Tony from Woking.

Tansy did my wedding makeup and my bridesmaids makeup. Tansy stayed with us all morning from 7:30 until 11 she put us all at ease the whole time she was there making us laugh and feel relaxed. Tansy waited patiently while we had our hair done so that she could top up our makeup perfectly after we’d put on our dresses. She even helped with other little jobs while she was there like looking for the Flourist’s car. Our makeup looked fantastic and stayed perfectly all day even after dancing! Would definitely recommend for bridal makeup.

This salon came recommended to me by a friend. The girls here are fantastic, Sophie did my nails and she was fabulous - I felt so relaxed and comfortable. Tansy was great, did my make up for my (very) last minute COVID wedding and Ellen did my hair – they both were really accommodating and really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. Been going to Tansy for beauty for years and would definitely recommend her to anyone. She definitely does the best lashes around! Since she took over the hair too I’ve been twice and both times Ellen has coloured my hair perfectly. It’s the best colour I’ve had for years!
