I’ve been going to Sarah for many years. I followed her from a previous salon to embellish because such good hairdressers are hard to come by. I love the salon she is at now. The salon I has recently undergone a renovation and looks lovely. The seats are so comfortable to sit in while you are having your hair done. It’s a friendly salon with a professional and comfortable atmosphere. Sarah is so good at her job. I’m fussy about how I have my hair done but Sarah always pays attention to what I want and does it just right. She is a credit to the salon. She is a lovely young lady with a caring nature. I had an amazing experience at this hair salon! All the staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. The salon itself has a stunning view, and the environment is so relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. The residential dogs were an added bonus, putting everyone at ease. I left feeling fantastic with a new cut and style. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend Sophie!!! My hair got a very terrible experience on other salon, I feel very sad and disappointed, until Sophie changed this situation. Gem is just the best. I have just had had luxury derma-planing followed by a back neck and shoulder massage. She is just so professional, makes you feel so relaxed and is just so good at all her treatments. I Would definitely recommend her, came out feeling really pampered and relaxed. You will struggle to find a lash tech who is as professional as Gemma! Availability is great and if there are any issues then they’re dealt with easily. The whole salon has a lovely atmosphere, everyone is approachable and you’ll leave feeling fabulous. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to Gemma and the team since the salon opened over a year ago. All the girls are so lovely, friendly and professional. There is just a beautiful vibe in there and you feel so welcome. They've became more than just somewhere I get my nails done, they've become so much more and I wish nothing but success for Gemma and all the team. I was so excited when I heard Alma was opening in Matlock, I had to book in as soon as it did! The booking process was so easy, all done online & confirmation given at the end. Upon visiting Alma, I was seated at the plush sofas and given a form to fill in. Once I'd done this, I was seated at one of the nail counters. I had my nails done with bio gel by Louise. She was so lovely, really friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. I opted for gold nails (a bit of sparkle for Christmas) and the treatment was lovely! I also had biogel toes so Louise asked me to take a seat by one of the foot spa basins. This was also lovely and I opted for navy blue which looked lush! I was also offered a drink which came with a gingerbread cookie. The salon itself is absolutely stunning - light and airy and very spa like! It's modern and classy and it's been renovated to an incredibly high standard! Prices at Alba are also super competitive! I'll definitely be visiting again and might have to book a massage soon! Thanks so much for such a lovely first visit to Alba, I'll be raving about you to all my friends and family! x

I have had a lot of massages in my time and Leighanne has to be in my top 3 for knowledge and techniques. I went in with a lot of tension in neck, head and shoulders and just feeling my neck she she knew what she needed to do. I first came to Olivia for my eyebrows and lashes, and she did such an incredible job that I now trust her with my haircuts too! She’s so talented and always makes me feel beautiful. Le is my go-to for nails. He’s incredibly meticulous and his attention to detail is unmatched. I always leave with flawless nails and a smile on my face. This is a great salon with friendly and professional staff members. Liv and Sam are always bubbly and welcoming. I had a color fix done by Sam and I was extremely pleased with the results. He listened to what I wanted and made great recommendations. The end result was even better than I had imagined. Overall, the atmosphere at the salon was great and the staff were all very friendly. I had a 1hr 30min massage and facial and oh my god. I felt like I was being healed by Mother Nature herself! The most authentic and real, kind and caring staff. I had a massage by a REALLY talented woman called Jay. I left feeling transformed and so well looked after. Honestly felt reborn afterwards and loved the building, the setting, the atmosphere. Came across this salon whilst on holiday. Feeling I needed a good rejuvenating massage, after all the walking, I called in expecting a 'sorry we are fully booked' however, thanks to an ever professional and friendly Lisa, both Mum and I managed to get appointments. I would have to say it was the best full body massage I have ever had. Amazing! The salon is lovely, clean and calm and stocked with a host of quality products. It would definitely be my go to salon if I was local. Highly recommended. I promise, you will not be disappointed.

Thanks to Belinda for a magnificent Bespoke Body massage. It was a thoroughly relaxing and luxurious 60 minutes. The Botanicals products seemed very natural and soothing too. Botanicals is tucked down a side street in Bakewell, but make sure you don't miss out. It's best to book in advance.
