We we're Here after a regional recommendation. Absolutely lovely pub where you can also go for a meal. Simple but good. The interior is also beautifully designed. The local people like to come here and there's a great atmosphere in the pub. The service is also really nice.

They were ready for us, served us promptly with hot, great tasting food, and checked up on us (all good).
Jo and her team didn't keep us waiting at all. Even the bill was very reasonable.

We visited yesterday as won a three course meal for 2! The only meal available on a Sunday was roast dinners... we had the calamari and the onion bahji scotch egg to start, which were nice! The roasts came out hot and were good-sized portions.. not the best roast I've had, but the adults roasts were £15 and kids £10, not bad for the price! The ice cream sundaes were really good, we all left clean plates, so always a good sign!
Been going here for years on a regular basis. It has recently been taken over and has undergone a huge facelift. It is now bright and modern with sports memorabilia hanging around the bar and on the walls. Rugby and boxing fans will love this.
The staff here were and still are really good. Friendly and conversational when there is a lull in serving.
Have eaten here recently and the food was good and at a fair price.
There is a good choice on tap of lagers and IPA and beers on draught. A good selection of spirits too.
Overall a pub worth a visit if you are in the area.
