We have visited the Cock and Bottle for lunch and dinner on numerous occasions since it reopened under new management. It has become our favourite place to eat, we have gone with different friends, who have all loved it.
The food is very definitely homemade and so much the better for it.
A few weeks ago, we had the best Sunday Roast we've ever had out.
The pub is very warm and welcoming, and the staff are lovely.
The attention to detail that the new landlords have put into everything shines through.

Sunday lunch for 4 with 2 well behaved dogs. Seated at a spacious table adjacent to the bar with plenty of room for the dogs. One of the group required a GF meal which wasn't a problem. Great quality food washed down with local Palmer's beer. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Only negative was the portion size which was definitely on the small side

Party of 5, mix of starters followed by steak for everyone (some rump, some fillet) not all cooked the same, we varied from medium rare to well done, but everyone more than happy with their steak. Only 1 person managed pudding and loved his large portion of apple cake.
Our spend was quite high as we also drank quite a lot of beer & wine, but it was worth the money.
Great food, service, atmosphere. Friendly pub, lovely and clean. Would highly recommend.
