We feel very fortunate to have celebrated our wedding at Came House earlier this year. From the moment we arrived, Rags, George, and their family made us feel at home for the weekend. The wider Came House team — Melanie, Danielle, Ju, and Skinner — was an incredible support. They coordinated everything seamlessly so we could focus on enjoying time with family and friends. The venue itself is spectacular and has several areas you can use for each part of the weekend. We held our rehearsal dinner in the dining room. The next day, we used the light-filled orangery for our ceremony, held our drinks reception in the beautiful gardens and then moved to the marquee for our wedding reception. It was great that we were able to do everything in one location and avoided having to arrange transport between venues for guests. Having our closest family and friends stay on-site also allowed us to extend the celebrations across the entire weekend. We can’t recommend Came House highly enough. It’s the perfect combination of a stunning venue with a brilliant team that goes above and beyond to give you the best possible wedding experience. We had so much fun and feel very grateful to the entire team!

I'm a wedding photographer. Whilst I've shot weddings at Came House it has been as the second photographer each time so I don't have bridal images to share of the venue. Instead I'll share a few room-layout images to give a flavour of it. These are all from one wedding later on in October a couple of years ago. Came House is a beautiful venue with plenty of space for guests either outside or inside. There's a beautiful garden to explore and lots of spots for those gorgeous shots of the two of you as a couple. Definitely one I enjoy working at.

Came House is surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside, and just by itself is an incredible venue to get married at. However the team that works there make it truly special - your wedding day and the weeks / months leading up to it can be stressful, but Melanie and the Came team helped make everything so easy and stress-free for us, which allowed us to just enjoy the day, safe in the knowledge that everything was taken care of. From planning the BBQ for our friends and family on the Friday night, recommending caterers, DJ’s and wine suppliers, to the day itself (with all of our requests and last minute curveballs!) they worked tirelessly to ensure that our wedding weekend ran smoothly and to give us the perfect day. We have had so many people say how beautiful the venue looked, and how well organised everything was… We got very lucky with the weather, and even luckier that we picked Came for our special day 😊 Thank you again so much for everything! We couldn't recommend Came House more as a wedding venue. Tucked away in the beautiful Dorset countryside, the house itself is stunning and such an incredible place to get married. Melanie and the team were just so lovely from the very beginning - which was so important to us, a team that we wanted to work with to bring our wedding to life. And they really came through, from helping us plan all aspects, covering every detail, and doing it all with a great calmness and friendliness. In short, they were brilliant. Get the venue right and the rest will follow... with Came, it certainly did.

We used Cartails for our wedding in July. They were absolutely great, perfect from start to finish. We had lots of zoom meetings before the wedding making sure everything was exactly as we wanted, and Josh was always on hand to answer questions and change things around to make them perfect. The team were fab on the day - the guests all said how lovely the bar staff were, and the cocktails were DELICIOUS! Couldn't recommend them more.

We had a wonderful experience with Harrison and the whole Cartails team over our two day wedding celebration. Harrison was extremely professional and helpful throughout the planning process and across the weekend. The service throughout our wedding was so slick and we were so pleased with the cocktails! We’d highly recommend the team if you’re planning an event - big or small.

We used Cartails to provide bar service at our wedding recently. After initial conversations with Harrison, Josh took over the planning of the event and both were brilliant to work with. They clearly had a wealth of experience planning the events, and were able to offer excellent advice and ideas without us ever feeling like we were being upsold. They provided everything we asked for, going to particularly effort to make sure we could have a slushy machine serving Froze. They went above and beyond in making sure the drinks offering was exactly what we were looking for. On the day, they constructed the circular bar quickly and efficiently, and this looked fantastic in the middle of the marquee. Drinks service throughout the whole day went perfectly, with Harrison and his team managing both the main circular bar and outside horsebox bar brilliantly. The Froze was a real hit and the after dinner cocktails went down very well too. The site was left spotless at the end of the night. We would happily recommend Cartails to anyone planning their own wedding, and would love to work with them again should we have any other large events.

Harrison was incredibly efficient in the lead up to agreeing arrangements for our daughter’s wedding and the team were equally professional on the day. The bar became the centre of the post-dinner party with excellent cocktails and magnificent service. Strongly recommend.

Lee the wheelbarrow DJ was a total hit at our wedding. His taste in music is fantastic and our guests loved the setup. A really unique and fun addition to our celebration. He was great to engage with, professional and friendly. He took the time to speak to us before hand about the sorts of music and general vibe that we were after and he really delivered. He brought a great selection of records and was a hit with kids and adult alike. We're so grateful for what he added to our big day and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for any kind of party or celebration to provide great tunes and to add to the party atmosphere.

Lee came to do our joint party with both his Wheelbarrow set up for outside and the cocktail bar for inside. Both were fantastic and worked brilliantly in the setting. Lee's DJing was perfect, reading the crowd and giving everyone a brilliant time. It was also very easy and straightforward dealing with Lee who was always happy to answer and questions or come up with ideas to make the event better. 100% recommended and would definitely use again.

Absolutely brillaint, eccentric, educational and sustainable fun at it's very best. Lee has now featured at out wedding as well as at our daughters birthday party which is testament to his versatility. His solar powered wheelbarrow disco really is second to none and we wouldn't hesitate to recomend him for your event. Hopefully he will feature at more of our future parties and celebrations as well. Lee is a star! He did both an outdoor set (battery-powered from his ecotainment wheelbarrow decks) and an indoor set with full disco power! Great fun for everyone (we had a big range of ages) and he was a really positive force all through our event. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Nicky was very accommodating with the items i required. She send me photo's of what i wanted, to give me an idea on what i was hiring along with making the whole process nice and straightforward. Once the items were collected (by my dad) and bought to the venue i could certainly see Nicky looks after her props as the quality of the items were really good. I would thoroughly recommend Nicky and her business to anyone conducting any number of events not just weddings. The band Guilty Pleasures played at our wedding in July and absolutely smashed the night! From their very first number they had everyone up and dancing and as their name might suggest, they play an eclectic set that gets people dancing! When planning a wedding communication is key and Lee and the team were fantastic in terms of explaining how they work, what they need and how we could help. They really made our big day a party and we received so many comments from guests about how good the band were - Would highly recommend them to anyone!

A truly wonderful retreat, set in gorgeous countryside. The decor of the house is tasteful and calming. Lots of different spaces for people to enjoy - great kitchen, dinning room and lounge for larger groups & snug bar for hiding away in. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Christina and the team were very welcoming and helpful. I Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

I wish I could add more stars! We got married at Abbots Court in May 2023 and I can't recommend it enough as a wedding venue. The house and grounds are absolutely breath-taking in the middle of the countryside and are maintained to the highest standard. We loved that there were so many options from the Victorian Barn for the ceremony, to the gardens for reception drinks to the pavilion for dinner and party and then the house (and the glamping pods!) for the after party. Having our family and friends stay in the house the night before with its huge kitchen, dining room and hot tub and then also in the glamping style pods on the night was amazing and kept the party going in the house bar! Having so many options allowed several people to stay on site which allowed the wedding to go on all weekend. One of the highlights of our wedding was the organisation in the run up to and on the day. This is all down to Cat and her amazing team who expertly put up with all my queries and worries and made everything run smoothly. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding dreams come true. A truly special venue and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you to everyone involved.

We hired Abbots Court for the weekend for an extended staff Xmas party. Incredible venue, that I’ve been to for several weddings. All the team loved it, beautiful house and location. The outside caterers were fantastic. Great cocktail barman provided. I would highly recommend it to anyone, whether a corporate weekend away, friends or a wedding.

We booked Abbots Court after a chance viewing and what felt like fate with our dream date becoming free the coming year. We knew the venue suited our vision of the wedding day, but it was the way that the staff saw the whole wedding weekend that filled us with the confidence to book (even with a lot of the venue still CGI drawings!) We were not disappointed when it came to our last planning meeting and seeing everything in its full glory and on the day it was perfect. The ability to have friends stay the weekend with us, the informal but beautiful look and feel of Abbots Court and the amazing staff meant we truly had the best day of our lives. We were able to make a weekend of it by hosting a sports day at the venue the next day and everything was made so easy by Kat and the team. Set up was a breeze, we were given a whole day to prepare and that took the stress out of the big day, which isn’t always a luxury that venues give couples. We booked Abbots Court, Almer Manor and the Shepard’s huts on site - all provided incredible experiences for our guests and the feedback we have had from everyone that stayed has been amazing. The luxury and well thought out venues added to our wedding experience and guests were definitely keen to try and stay again in future! We want to say a massive thank you for everything you did to answer the questions (no matter how big or small) and for all the thought and advice that went into making our day truly about us, and not just a carbon copy or a template that couldn’t be veered from. Michele at 7th Wave catered a wonderful afternoon tea for 50 people for our celebration following my son’s christening. The food was delicious (so much so the guests were clearing the buffet in minutes but Mich and the team did a magnificent job to keep up!); the staff serving the food and drinks were so polite and helpful, even staying to help us tidy the church hall at the end of the day; and creating delicious gluten free options as part of our menu was no problem. I will absolutely use 7th Wave again for any future events. Thank you again Mich and team for such wonderful food and service.

A socially distanced birthday surprise was excellently executed and totally appreciated. Arriving with a kitchen in a van, setting up outside and preparing for an hour, Michele presented amazing looking and tasting food, from a pre-selected menu. The starter in particular was awesome. Floral Shaker helped celebrate our 10 year anniversary with absolutely fantastic cocktails. Katy's artistic flair was just amazing; bringing her funky cocktail bar and beautiful flower display which we got to keep after! The cocktails made the party with everyone talking about them and excited to get the next ones. We had non-alcoholic mocktails too, so everyone was catered for. I completed an amazing wreath making workshop with Kate and floral shaker. I attended with friends. We all had such a wonderful time and learnt how to make elegant wreaths. What can I say about the Kate @ Floral Shaker experience. It is truly a pleasurable experience to be about Kates company and energy. From set up, to the full experience of watching Kate lovingly create the master piece which is the Bar, with the floral decor of the Bar itself. We wanted a rustic feel with lots of pretty lights/candles and she made it work. She went above and beyond and even helped with the flowers! She also made it stress free for us. I can’t thank Sam at Linen and Lace enough. She worked tirelessly to make our vision come to life. I had all my own decor and a plan for our wedding that was very detailed and Sam executed it perfectly. I am sure that I nearly killed her but she did it with ease, professionalism and a smile on her face, it was like working with a good friend. I am so grateful as she created this bespoke for us and I could not have asked for more. She set up, packed down and out of hundreds of glass items and a van full, it all made it back. It was expertly done. Very highly recommended. I enjoyed every moment setting up with her. Her comms are fantastic and she has an excellent eye for detail. If you want your decor to be something people will talk about, Sam is your girl. She loves whats she does and puts her heart and soul into it. A day to remember thank you so much x

Sam decorated for our Wedding at Balmer Lawn last Saturday and she did an incredible job it was everything that I hoped for and more! We explained what we wanted and showed pictures and nothing was too much trouble and she got everything spot on. The candles, vases etc that she used were just so beautiful and exactly the style I wanted. She made use of the table decor on the window sills and registrar table during the ceremony so nowhere in the room looked empty. We had soo many compliments on the decor and how beautiful it was. We were recommended Linen & Lace by our florist and I'm so glad she did! Sam has been a dream supplier from day one and completely understood the look & feel we were going for from the moment we spoke on the phone. When it was safe to do so, we were able to visit Sam at her studio, this gave us the chance to look at all the items available and discuss what would suit our day, Sam also organized our linen and napkins which was such a great help as was one less thing we had to worry about. As our wedding was in December we were only allowed 15 guests but that did not stop Sam creating the most beautiful tablescape, she is so talented and the end creation took our breath away. We have had so much feedback from our family & friends about how beautiful the table and room were, we couldn’t agree more! We first found The Orangery Suite within the few days after we got engaged in Mauritius. We emailed Becky whilst we were still abroad and viewed the venue the week after we got back to the UK and the venue looked amazing, even in the British rain! We looked at one other venue, just to say we had compared it to another place, but we knew instantly that it was the perfect venue for us. We are active people and can get bored easily, so all of the games and activities really appealed to us, along with the beautiful grounds! Becky, Scott and Louise have done the best job since taking over the venue and have really refreshed the look, including refurbishing inside the orangery suite and the outside bathrooms. Everything looked great on the day and it ran so smoothly, thanks to all of their efforts! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they helped answer and resolve any questions I had. All of our guests have commented on how perfect the venue was and what a good find it was. They all enjoyed playing all of the games, especially the mini golf, badminton, table football and basketball net! They were also so welcoming of our 2 dogs, Ted and Alfie, who also really enjoyed the day being ring bearers. There were no restrictions on how long they could stay or where they could go and it was so nice to know they were just as welcome as all of the humans! It really was the best day ever and we are so grateful to The Orangery Suite!

With lots of fabulous photo opportunities and activities for all ages, to keep guests occupied! Louise and Becky were really lovely to work with, and made sure that everything was perfect for us all.
