We have eaten here a few times now and class it as a treat for a special occasion. We ate here recently and the food was very good as usual. However, I was shocked at the increase in price. The website which I have just checked again advertises 2 courses from £35 but this is no longer the case. It's more like £50 as you now pay for separate courses. So the website needs to be updated asap. We also used to get appetizers served to us before we went into the dining room and also between courses but sadly not any more. Again, really enjoyed what we had but only fo a special occasion.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent weekend stay, for our special occasion. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful. Our luxurious room was beautifully decorated and the bed very comfortable. All of our meals were delicious, and we were very impressed with the extensive wine list. Our whole experience was delightful, no doubt due to the great attention to detail that everyone has here. The fabulous grounds and gardens add to the serenity of this beautiful place. We are so glad that we chose Fischers and hope to return..... This is a truly special place ❤️

Visited Fischer's at Baslow Hall for an early valentine's dinner with my partner. Neil and the serving staff were great and very friendly. The service never felt rushed and we had a drink in the bar area before being shown to our table. My partner and I have eaten at a fair few fine dining/Michelin restaurants over the years but this was the first time we've booked the Kitchen Bench experience. Ant and his kitchen staff were all very professional and relaxed and were happy to chat, have a laugh and answer any questions we had. They explained the dishes and the processes behind them and it was interesting to see the dishes being assembled and 'coming to live' on the pass. We enjoyed a 9 course tasting menu with some of the highlights being the fish course (especially the Bouillabaisse which it was served with), the Mushroom Pithivier and Egg Custard Tart! We were both very pleased with the whole experience and would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks for a great evening!

Didn’t stay but ate for my birthday lunch. Made to feel very welcome and loved every minute. Great service from Otto. Thanks so much to the team for making me feel special! The food was sublime and the star of the show was the cod main course with saffron sauce. Otto added he brought the saffron from Morocco himself which was a lovely touch. The Lighthouse's Summer 24' menu is extraordinary . We thoroughly enjoyed all dishes which went very well with the drinks pairing. Every dish, from the Japanese Milk Bread with butter to the Orkney Scallop with massaman and chili lime cashews, was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Overall, the Summer menu at The Lighthouse is a testament to their culinary excellence and I'm looking forward to returning again soon.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience here last night celebrating a belated anniversary. The food was incredible - our particular favourites were the 4 courses to start and the two desserts, but we weren’t disappointed with even one dish. The service was another highlight, everyone was very attentive and polite, however one of the service staff in particular (I apologise for not remembering her name!) went above and beyond with her drink recommendations, her attitude and conversation, answering any questions we had, and thoroughly helped elevate our experience even more! I cannot wait to come back again to try their different seasonal menus, this has been a real find and I really hope they get their Michelin star soon as they really deserve it. Lovely! Went for our annual Birthday taster menu and it was great as always. Got to try a few things we'd never had before. A few items were quite salty which was such a shame but the puddings as always were th best part!

What a beautiful riverside location! I've never experienced dining at a restaurant like Stones before and I wasn't disappointed. Everything about our evening was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We were made to feel very special by everyone there.

What a fantastic dining experience. We went for the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing. We thought it was excellent value at £75pp & £45 for the wine. It had a different wine for all 8 courses. A nice touch was a menu for the complementary canapés. The stand out dishes for me was the halloumi canapé and salmon tartar 😍. Hubby’s star dishes were the ham hock terrine & strawberry parfait. He also loved both canapé’s & homemade sourdough and butters. Waiting staff were great, loved it & will be back!

Excellent food and friendly atmosphere. Went there to celebrate my friend's 50th birthday. From starters to mains to desserts, all the food was on point for everyone. There was a board with special s of the day which also had fabulous items. Definitely worth checking out if one is in Sutton

We were very impressed by the exceptional food quality from their kitchen. Staff were super friendly and passionate to serve and customers are immersed in its vibrant atmosphere. Food all came in much bigger portion than expected, for instance there were 3 scallops and prawns respectively in the appetizer, and seafood risotto contained generous mussels, prawns and risotto rice. Pepperoni Pizza was hugely stuffed and cheese-loaded very delicious! All in all a very reasonable priced restaurant in its best quality. Will re-visit if ever in the community again!

The staff are friendly and warm. One shared with me how to take care of his cuddly teddy when he saw my rabbit. Please remember to see if any daily special. We are so lucky to have mango, avocado with crab and prawns. The fresh sweet mangoes are from their garden! Also, don’t miss their desserts! Thank you for the lovely lunch today xx

This is No Zizzi, This is Proper Authentic Italian Cuisine in the Heart of Sutton. Mouthwatering Homemade Dishes Cooked to Absolutely Heavenly Perfection 😋😋😋. ..... Why Haven't I Been Here Before?! .... I Tried to Visit Last Week but they Were Closed for Post New Year Holiday but hadn't updated Google which Still Showed as Open. Not to Worry I Rang at 6pm Today as I Fancied "Proper Italian" and Although They Were Packed They Managed to Fit Me In for 6.30pm until 8pm. I Turned Up at 6.20pm..... I had Diet Coke as my Drink (No Coca-Cola Zero) with Crispy Whitebait to Start with Garlic Mayonnaise which was Delicious...... Followed by the BEST MOST TASTIEST LASAGNE I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE!! 😋....... Melt In Your Mouth Succulence from the Spoon to My Tummy. It Was Absolutely Divine 😋. No Hard Lasagna Sheet Ready Meal Version Here!! CONFIRMED HOME MADE!! For Dessert I had Chocolate and Mint Ice Cream Bombe Which was Minty Refreshing 😊. I Was Worried about Fitting Everything In Before 8pm but I Was Ahead of Schedule and All Paid Up by 7.50pm ish. I Started by Rushing due to My Anxiety but I Made It. In any case, the couple next to me which arrived after me , finished before I did, so there was no need to panic! The Lot Came to £35.75 Including Service Charge Which I Thought Was Excellent..... It Costs that to eat at Whitbread Bar + Block Steakhouse and A LOT is Pre Prepared Frozen There..... NOT Homemade Authentic Italian Cuisine. Oh and Veal is On the Menu, Both In Breadcrumbs and Without. The Waiter/Manager/Owner Said as Long as Mum Brings her Gluten Free Breadcrumbs they Can Do Veal in Breadcrumbs but Gluten-free! 😊 What An Enjoyable Meal..... I Was Originally Going to Have Risotto but I Think I'll be Back Next Week to Have That...... There's Just TOO MUCH Scrummy Italian Cuisine on the Menu to Choose! One thing's for sure Spaghetti Carbonara, Was a very popular dish this evening as I saw one after the other being brought out from the kitchen, past me! My new favourite Italian..... We stopped by for an impromptu lunch, we chose a selection of starters and dessert. We were extremely happy we did. The food was delicious, each plate was simply delicious and exciting, so much so I am thinking of travelling back to stay overnight just so we can eat again. The hosts were very professional, a beautiful experience all round. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic weekend staying at The Blind Bull. The room was perfect in every way, lots of little thoughtful touches, comfy bed & gorgeous bathroom! The enclosed patio area was perfect for our little dog to explore. The pub was everything we had hoped for, cosy, charming, friendly staff and good quality drinks. The food in the evening was sensational & we thoroughly enjoyed every single part of it. Oh and I don’t know what you do to the mushrooms on the breakfast but they were so delicious! We will 100% be back here for our next child free break away, it was perfect. Thankyou

One of the best Sunday roasts around. Superb atmosphere, excellent service and pretty much faultless. Tricky to get a cab to return so pre book. Also dress code is country casual.

Great feel to this place, very clean and decor seems to be kept in good shape. Food is great, nothing out of this world but I would definitely revisit as it’s fair priced. Coffee is delicious here! Only thing that let it down slightly is staff seemed to not cope too well when it gets busy. But they did try their best.

It was really lovely, we celebrated my daughter’s 24th birthday. The service was perfect, communication was brilliant. There was a very long wait for food. The food was amazing.

7 of us had a birthday meal for my daughter. Amazing service food too. Wonderful area we was sat so we could enjoy our chats away from everyone. Our waiter was brilliant he took her birthday cake away to light up and bought back in on a big board plates forks napkins and knife too. We left him a tip. Definitely returning. Thank again!

Wonderful, lovely, and charming staff. Spectacular Indian cuisine paired with really good traditional pub food. Excellent wine list with some really interesting choices for those who like to try something new. We came for lunch and it was good we booked for dinner as well.

Came for food. Super dog friendly (even have a doggie menu!) and incredibly welcoming. Food and service second to none! Burgers were perfect and the pie was absolutely wonderful. No complaints at all! Already looking to come back in summer!

Went for their steak night on Wednesday and had an amazing experience. Service was quick and friendly. We mentioned having a dog when we booked, and a bowl of water was there waiting for our thirsty boy after his walk around the crater. We ordered a sirloin steak and a fillet steak at a very reasonable price. Steaks were cooked perfectly and came with a delicious selection of sauces. French fries and chunky chips were both delightful, and were accompanied with crunchy onion rings, a mushroom pot pie, vine tomatoes and a pineapple and smoked cheese topper which was an optional extra. Atmosphere was warm and cosy. Would highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience.

If your looking for that Sunday Roast type of pub we all went too with Grandma Grandad & the family in the 1980's then look no further, this is hands down one of the best Sunday roasts you will find in the UK. Our family is on their 4th roast dinner in 6 months!. They seem to specialise in Sunday Roast, and they get fully booked especially in winter, so best book a table. The staff are rushed of their feet but bend over backwards to accommodate everyone, I come in a girl serves me next minutes she's at the table asking to order then she's at the bar serving pints! The teamwork is something to be seen. The pricing is not high or low slap in the middle. I would say, we leave a hearty tip, belly's full of delicious Sirlion beef yum! Off for a Sunday snooze on the sofa. I can't vouch for the other days or menu, as we can't say no to the Sunday roast, but from what I've seen, the dishes look classy we'll cooked and filling.

You absolutely HAVE to try the cock! We've just had the most incredible lunch there. From the moment we walked in, the whole experience was fantastic. The food was truly out of this world! And get this, we enjoyed every bite in front of the biggest log burner in a pub I've ever seen, It was so cozy and inviting. Honestly you need to go experience this place for yourself!

A positively faultless experience, easily one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Super lovely staff, immaculate rooms with romantic flair, one of the most comfy beds we've ever slept on! Courtyard access from the bedroom on the ground floor was delightful (and under-advertised - it was a very pleasant surprise!), room was super toasty and warm (but not stifling). Food was Michelin-star level good, and we felt spoilt for choice despite being vegan - easily one of the best meals out we've had over many years. All the theming and decor is stunning, so much thought and care put into making the place a perfect blend of modern/rustic. Can't recommend enough, the perfect domestic luxury break. Thank you so much for a perfect time.

I visited The Cow on Sunday for a roast with a couple of friends. I have a severe peanut allergy and found out on arrival that there were peanuts present in the kitchen, in the nut roast. One lady in particular was amazing and so kind, I think she might have been the manager. She spoke to the kitchen and gave me really detailed information on where food was prepped and which option would be safest. She then carried my food out herself and gave me my own portion of vegetables. I felt really at ease, thank you! ❤️ The food was delicious too! 😊

The best Sunday lunch we’ve had in years. 8 of us really enjoyed the warm and inviting atmosphere at The Cow. It’s exactly what quality English pubs should be like. A credit to the management and team. Thank you.

Recently stayed at The Cow with my wife for her birthday. Overall a lovely place and a great evening meal, however, a couple of things let it down and I don't think the stay is value for money. Our room was lovely however, it was right next to the bar area and opposite the kitchen so was very noisy. There were 4 rooms available when I booked, had known where it was located I would have chosen one of the others and I do think this is something they should make you aware of and the room rate maybe reduced as a result compared to the other rooms. At £220 a night I do think the rooms are expensive for what they are, they're lovely and the Molton Brown bits are a nice touch but with no breakfast included they're on the *expensive* end. Some form of breakfast should definitely be included IMO, some toast, a pastry or some cereal from a self serve section would be welcomed. It's also laughable that you have teabags and a kettle in your room but if you ask for a tea with your breakfast it's chargeable. We went with eggs and smoked salmon on toast with two cappucinos for breakfast which cost us another 30 something pounds. Our evening meal was great, really nice food, environment, staff were helpful and friendly. I had cod which was lovely and I thought I'd make the most of their fresh cornish fish. Potato dauphinoise a little greasy for my liking but overall a lovely meal. Had a really nice sauvignon blanc, can't remember the name but the wine was really good. On checkout I mentioned the room noise and the fact I booked the room based on it's overall look but as above wouldn't have if I'd known it's location. I was met with a very generic, unbelievable apology but no offer of a small gesture or discount. Overall I paid around £350 for a one night stay here with breakfast and dinner which I think is a tad on the expensive side BUT it was still nice though wouldn't rush back.

Lovely!! Went with the Mrs to celebrate our anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better night. David our server was polite and nice to chat too. The food was delicious and not over priced. Will definitely be going here again and highly recommend it to anyone who likes food.

Really nice restaurant, staff were very kind and quick to take orders. Food was really good, reccomend getting 3 dishes each and sharing. All had good taste and portion sizes together weren’t too bad! Would recommend the meatballs! Would definitely come back 👍🏼

We visited Pesto for the first time and were presently surprised by the food, service and atmosphere. We had the lunch option which meant that we could pick from a number of parts which were grouped into three price brackets. We had three plates each (6 total), shared them between us and they were the perfect amount to satisfy both of us. I would recommend visiting Pesto as I think it is one of the better examples of a small chain.

Amazing food as always can't fault it however the service was disappointing to say the least, got sat at an outside table but waited for at least 20 minutes for some to come and take a drink order however no one came, so approached a member of staff to left them know we where ready. Bearing in mind they had already taken food and drink orders from tables seated after us, we then ordered food and drinks at the same time and then food was brought out pretty sharply but no drinks and no cutlery either. Shame has always been a great place to eat and never had issues in the past.
