You absolutely HAVE to try the cock! We've just had the most incredible lunch there. From the moment we walked in, the whole experience was fantastic. The food was truly out of this world! And get this, we enjoyed every bite in front of the biggest log burner in a pub I've ever seen, It was so cozy and inviting. Honestly you need to go experience this place for yourself!

Loved it! Went for a birthday meal and the only complaint was that the children's pasta was too spicy for my daughter. But there was plenty to eat as we had the 3 courses and we all left full and happy.

Went for their steak night on Wednesday and had an amazing experience. Service was quick and friendly. We mentioned having a dog when we booked, and a bowl of water was there waiting for our thirsty boy after his walk around the crater. We ordered a sirloin steak and a fillet steak at a very reasonable price. Steaks were cooked perfectly and came with a delicious selection of sauces. French fries and chunky chips were both delightful, and were accompanied with crunchy onion rings, a mushroom pot pie, vine tomatoes and a pineapple and smoked cheese topper which was an optional extra. Atmosphere was warm and cosy. Would highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience.

If your looking for that Sunday Roast type of pub we all went too with Grandma Grandad & the family in the 1980's then look no further, this is hands down one of the best Sunday roasts you will find in the UK. Our family is on their 4th roast dinner in 6 months!. They seem to specialise in Sunday Roast, and they get fully booked especially in winter, so best book a table. The staff are rushed of their feet but bend over backwards to accommodate everyone, I come in a girl serves me next minutes she's at the table asking to order then she's at the bar serving pints! The teamwork is something to be seen. The pricing is not high or low slap in the middle. I would say, we leave a hearty tip, belly's full of delicious Sirlion beef yum! Off for a Sunday snooze on the sofa. I can't vouch for the other days or menu, as we can't say no to the Sunday roast, but from what I've seen, the dishes look classy we'll cooked and filling.
