Really nice wedding venue on the edge of the Peak District. Fantastic scenery and only a few minutes drive from Curber Edge. As a wedding photographer its always a good day at The Fox & Goose. Wanted to go out of my way to leave a positive review for the Fox & Goose. Living fairly locally, we drop in time to time and on Sunday just gone, we did so with our little boy. We hadn't booked nor were we having any food. Just a drink at the bar. Those dining had the opportunity to 'meet santa' in a cordoned off area. Spotting we had a little boy with us, the bar staff kindly invited him in to meet Santa despite us not dining etc. My little boy loved it and was thrilled with his little present. Unbeknown to them, due to work commitments I'd been unable to attend our booked Santa visit elsewhere so this impromptu meeting of the man himself, was that bit more special for us as the parents. Lovely venue with great food and drink but above all that - the staff puts it above other venues. Thanks again!
Cosy pub for a Sunday roast. The food was very good. Service excellent. A beautiful view with outside seating. Play area for children. An easy drive just outside of Chesterfield with plenty of parking.
