Great local pub in Donisthorpe, nice friendly staff and good selection of drinks. I’m doing dry Jan so had a Guinness 0.0 and a SanMiguel 0.0 also and were actually okay. Can see this place being great in the evening for the locals. Food was okay. Pie was nice enough but nothing to rave about. Well priced.

Don't know if it was a special Bank Holiday event, or is it a normal thing, but we had some hot dogs in outside bbq and they were delicious. Especially along two pints of shandy. Nice outdoor area too, and great walks around. Dog friendly.

We booked for Sunday lunch. last Sunday 1st June for 3.30 At first we was told that the beer option had sold out but lamb was available But after a few minutes we was very politely told that that had also sold out So I opted for the pork my husband had the steak and ale pie Both was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. In fact it was the best meal we had out for years We both had the rice pudding and raspberry jam for dessert that was Sublime Thanks to everyone concerned The only problem is that we live in Sheffield and there is nothing near us to touch it For the food Only wish you was nearby Once again thank you for a memorable meal We will be back one day!!!

First visit here (just to check it out). In for solo lunch. Just had black pudding croquettes (very tasty) ,a bowl of home-cut chips and a beer. Had a peek at evening/Sunday menu. All looked very nice and looking forward to returning for a meal. Don't be fooled by standard external "pub" look. Inside is very nice,welcoming and clean - recently renovated. Very friendly service and ambiance

We were so lucky to have booked! Staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was delicious. The only downside was when we came to leave and the table behind us was occupied, we were that close together we had to move the table after my partner had stood up to get out. That wouldn’t stop us going again though.
