We called in to the Nags Head a couple of times as we were staying on a campsite nearby. Lovely pub with really friendly staff and locals. We timed it wrong for food so can only comment on how it looked...very good. Three real ales on and outdoor sitting areas to suit the vagaries of British weather. Lovely place
We called in here while up in the dales for the weekend. It’s a lovely local pub. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had Sunday roasts and puddings, plenty of food! Really tasty and really good value for money :)
This is by far the friendliest local I have ever been to. The staff and locals were incredibly welcoming and attentive. Very child/dog friendly and had live music as well as bingo. We stayed on a local campsite and attended this pub two nights in a row.
Exceptional beef Sunday roast, the lamb roast was also perfect so my hungry sister said. Honey roasted carrot, parsnip and mash hiding under the Yorkshire pudding. The gravy was beautifully rich in flavour. For £13 this is a gem and the staff were so friendly.
Absolutely fabulous place. Great hosts, friendly. Family friendly. Dog friendly. Nice freshly prepared food and locally source produce. If walking in the area (Carsington water, Ashbourne etc) definitely recommend. But do check out opening times etc.
