“I visited here with a friend for afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was quiet, there was only one table of four having the afternoon tea at the same time as us. The service was fine but the afternoon tea was more basic than we had expected. The sandwiches had strange fillings and were a little basic (tinned tuna with sweet chilli, just cucumber on another). The sausage roll was cold and dry with no flavour. We did enjoy the scone with jam and cream. I also liked the gingerbread spiced profiterole, but the rest of the cakes were a little disappointing just very sweet but no real flavour to them.”

“It was a little cold sat in the draft from the door and toilets. The lovely ladies moved us to a different table which was lovely and cosy. Food was fabulous from the starters if pate, and soup. Bowls and plates were so warm. Our mains were delicious. My other half had dessert the chocolate bomb, he loved it. I was far too full. Whole experience - a very lovely evening. Will definitely be back.”
