Exceptional Dining Experience "I recently had the pleasure of dining at Peacock at Rowsley and I must say it was truly exceptional! The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. The food was exquisite, with each dish expertly prepared and presented. We opted for the seasonal tasting menu, which showcased the chef's creativity and skill. Each bite was a delight, with flavors that danced on the palate. The atmosphere was elegant and refined, with a warm and inviting ambiance that made us feel right at home. The attention to detail was impressive, from the beautifully set tables to the stunning decor. Overall, our experience at Peacock was nothing short of fantastic. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience. Five stars isn't enough – we'd give it ten stars if we could!

Just celebrated my wife's birthday at The Peacock with a dinner, bed & breakfast package. It was a beautiful Spring day the hotel garden was just emerging out of its Winter slumber. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The dinner was SUPERB with imaginative cooking which was very tasty. The wine list was thoughtful with a good choice of grape and price range. The staff were charming and the cooked breakfast this morning was excellent. The only suggestion we would have: could you include biscuits with the tea & coffee in the room and also include granola or muesli at breakfast. Otherwise, really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely quintessential English Inn. The room was so nice, overlooking a beautiful large garden. Robes and slippers, a selection of organic teas and French press coffees. The room was spotless. The bedding so comfy. Best of all was Hillary at reception, she is a jewel. She made sure that we had everything we required and answered every question I had. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay for an extra day.

Dinner at the Peacock on Saturday night was excellent. The food was fantastic although not, perhaps, exceptional -everything was done well but nothing stood out as particularly memorable. Service was excellent although not quite perfect - wine service was slow at times and aperitifs arrived after the wine. That said, we had a good time and it was great value for money for the quality of food and wine provided. I would certainly return.

We had a memorable experience staying at the hotel and enjoying dinner at the restaurant. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. Our room was small, as expected for the countryside, but also beautifully appointed and comfortable. The restaurant was a bit of a welcome surprise. We looked at the menu and thought it a touch more fancy then we wanted. But we stayed, and were rewarded with good service, delicious meals (steak and lamb) and an overall very enjoyable evening. The Peacock is a delightful property, and we'd count ourselves fortunate to return. By the way, we also left some electronics behind and the staff was very helpful with securing their return.
