Both my children currently attend Kumon, Gill has been amazing at encouraging them and also praising them for their hardwork, both of my children have improved with Kumon. I would recommend Kumon to everyone, I would also say Kumon is not just for those struggling with Maths/English, you should start this early to make sure they not only enjoy Maths but they get a head start.

Gill Hoggard is an enthusiastic teacher, helping children fulfil their learning potential through perseverance and commitment. Her friendliness and positive attitude encourage my child to be resilient in the face of personal limitations. For us it’s not about striving to be brilliant, it’s about learning how to break through fears and develop a healthy attitude to learning. Milestones of achievement are regular, and acknowledged and rewarded with WH Smith vouchers and certificates, and recognition on FB if you want it! Kumon helps to build a foundation of confidence and ability that informs the learning experience in school.

Gill is brilliant at encouraging and helping children gain confidence and the method of repetition for maths, while it can sometimes feel endless, really works to ingrain the basics. It especially helpful now with lockdown, the zoom lesson work pretty well and our son, 7, who doesn’t find maths easy, has really benefitted.

Kumon maths has given my daughter lots of confidence with numbers from an early stage (she started Kumon at 3+) and has really helped her get ahead with the maths she is learning at Reception. Despite the physical Kumon centre being closed, the zoom classes are effective in monitoring progress of the workbooks posted to you for completion at home. I wouldn't hesitate in signing up to Kumon now as home learning has become even more important during this time.

Kumon at Archway led by Gill has given my children confidence in mathematics, better grades at school and a solid ground of ethics for learning and managing daily homework.
