I have used the service of Keystone Tutor preparing for 11 plus exam, for a period of roughly six months. Process of onboarding was really efficient and swift, tutoring of great quality. We have been helped to match to our needs with the perfect tutor - Donal Coonan. The key feature of the tutor was the very engaging tone that kept my ten-year-old boy really interested in the session. Quality of the explanation was really good, giving an intuitive sense on how to approach a problem. The tutoring was not only offering simple equations and tools, but a system of thinking and how to engage with a problem. Betsy was a great help preparing my twins for the 11+. We designed a plan and sometimes worked in a small group with other children. This really helped improved my daughter’s confidence as the working exercises were difficult sometimes and questions needed to be broken down in steps.

Betsy’s been working with our year 2, 6 year old son for 6 months now & the results have been awesome. He was stressed and miserable throughout year 1; would come home crying because he didn’t even know how to hold a pencil, and had virtually no idea what he was supposed to be doing in the classroom. We went to TAG for additional support as my son prepared for the barrage of 11+ and senior school entry exams. All the team at TAG seem fabulous and so engaged in their work with the children but my son idolises his tutor, Felix. He's keen to go to his lesson, comes out beaming from ear to ear, AND has significantly accelerated his learning. They've loved Maths problem solving together and worked hard to build on my son's English comprehension and analysis skills. Felix is patient and creative in finding ways to embed the knowledge, whilst keeping the sessions vibrant and productive. Tailoring the sessions to what most needs to be worked on but adding in some of the things he's strong on to keep the confidence up. Luke has been tutoring our child for a year now and we couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional teaching he’s been providing. Our child has improved significantly in both maths and English. Rishi has been supporting me for my A level / further Math and Physics course. Our lessons are going quite well so far, I feel the content we cover is good and so are the questions. We have covered topics such as differentiation, gradients, circle theorems, quadratic equations and many more. I find it helpful when we go through examples and when Rishi shows me the working out for a question

I enjoyed my meeting with Yusuf and can see potential in our work together on my PS. My only issue is that I think he is too focused on the philosophical side of PPE as he suggested I read another philosophy book for my PS when I already mentioned one. Especially since for one university I’m applying to economics and politics (bath) as it doesn’t have PPE. So therefore, I would prefer if my PS is more well-rounded of all three subjects.

My son got the offer from his 1st choice super selective grammar school, I’d like to give a huge thanks to his tutor, Dan. My son was below average in writing skills, speed and vocabulary before we approached Ivy for help in the January of Yr 5. After just a few months of tutoring with Dan, I could see his rapid improvement in writing. Dan taught creative writing in a disciplined and systematic way. He knew exactly how the examiners mark the answers, and how my son could get the highest scores in the English paper. Dan also helped my son’s other areas such as written comprehensions and VR.
