Absolutely sterling service, very highly recommended. I started using 1st Avenue for a toilet replacement and was so impressed at the tidiness and professionalism. I then went on to use them last year for a whole bathroom gut and install, combining two rooms into one and then just recently for a complete kitchen gut and install, including rewiring and installation of a skylight. I am overjoyed with the results. As well as a great standard of work, they have good ideas to make things even better and are extremely competitive. I've included the 'before' photos too, such a transformation for both. I've also used them to sort out radiators and all work has been carried out efficiently and pleasantly.

Ed recently replaced my boiler. He installed the new boiler quickly without any issues, rebuilt my cabinet to fit the new boiler, registered the associated paperwork, tidied the utility room after the work had been completed and arranged for the old boiler and its associated parts to be removed. Great service from start to finish! We had a gas leak and needed a replacement gas pipe to our cooker. Selvin came around the same evening to quote me and was around doing the work the same weekend. After two separate engineers failed to find the source of a gas leak in our home, I was so glad to have found MJ Services online who were able to find the leak (3rd time lucky), so we could get it fixed and have our gas put back on. He then came back again the next day to fix a fault in our very old boiler. We will be sure to be returning to him for our boiler upgrade. We needed a plumber in a hurry to sort out a tenant's hot water and heating. Simon spoke to them and was able to come out on a Saturday afternoon. I had called Anthony to check on a leaking kitchen pipe. After contacting almost 6 plumbers who either did not even bother to return my call or told me they could not come to check it out, Anthony came over right away and he was able to fix the issue in a matter of minutes and explained what the problem was in the simplest way for us non plumbers to understand. Very friendly and quick but did not do a quick rush job. He triple checked his work and made sure everything worked before leaving. Elis replaced our boiler, which had reached the end of it's economical life, together with a reworking of the way the radiators and underfloor heating are connected and controlled. Elis really understands how a modern system should be put together. Quite a tight space to fit everything in, as we still wanted space to store the vacuum cleaner and retain shelving. Polite, knowlagable, and very helpful. 5*

Elis has done a great job with a variety of plumbing jobs three times for us in St Albans. Fixing taps, installing a new gravity-fed shower, sorting a leaking external pipe - he's been great and we've always been pleased with his service. He does a great job too at explaining what he's doing and why and making sure we're happy with it. Definitely recommend.

Elis from Home Comfort Assured is an outstanding Plumber. We had several complicated heating issues that Elis attended to and resolved quickly and efficiently. He took time to explain why various things had failed in our heating system and presented clear and understandable options on how to proceed. Not only is he an excellent and knowledgeable heating engineer, but he really cared about ensuring that we were happy with what he was doing, and he spent all the time that was necessary to resolve some complicated problems so that we were not left without hot water or heating. He stayed quite late to fix things but did not charge us for all his time, caring more about customer service than profit - so rare these days. Having been let down by another company, I rang Marshall McGeever and I’m so glad I did!
