We asked Rob to maintain the garden at our parent's house until sold after they passed. Rob quoted turned up when he said and did a first class job returning as and when required. We live over 100 miles away and Rob just messaged to say he was going and sent pictures when finished. We could not ask for more and cannot recommend these guys highly enough ! They were fantastic value for money and the work was 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A massive thank you.

KB Landscapes was recommended to us by two of my wife’s friends who they have also done some good work for. They completed a make over on our very overgrown and unsightly garden. We had the lawn levelled and re-turfed and some new paving put down, along with a general tidy up. We are very happy with the work Kyle has done and the garden looks great and much more useable. First used this company a few years ago to revamp garden after building work. Sarah provided an amazing plan making sure all the areas most viewed from indoors were exciting and colourful. We now have a beautiful cohesive garden. We have been pleased to welcome Sarah back to our garden to enhance further areas which she has done with much success. Because she listens so carefully and then actually tries to fit our brief so closely it has been a very painless experience. Would not have known where to start to get what we had in mind - but now we have it! We are currently liaising with Sarah over a few tweaks and additions and as usual she has some brilliant ideas. I have a small to medium sized garden on a slope, a long list of things I want to do in the space and a relatively small budget - a triple challenge! Sarah really listened and talked through all my ideas and came up with a brilliant design that incorporates lots of planting space for veg, herbs and flowers, a fruit garden, wildlife pond and seating area, whilst dealing with the slope and somehow making it seem bigger than before! When we bought our house, we were didn’t know where to start with the overgrown garden. We wanted to maintain the established plants and borders but make it low maintenance and easy to stay on top of. Annabel and Sarah created a contemporary garden design, which incorporated everything we were looking for in a low maintenance design. It turned out exactly as we wanted and we couldn’t recommend them more!

I recently had a One Day garden consultation with Sarah to give me some inspiration and advice on what to do with our garden (we’ve recently moved into a new build house with a fairly large garden area that we wanted to make the best of with some lovely planting while also making it kid friendly for our toddler and find space for a shed!). Sarah spent the morning with me thoroughly going through ideas for types of plants, positioning of plants, garden layout and helped with lots of problem solving too (as the garden space we have has a fairly challenging layout). It was a really enjoyable morning and I liked the collaborative approach that Sarah took, exploring my preferences at every point. From the morning’s session, Sarah produced a wonderfully detailed garden proposal for us and specific instructions for planting. Sarah’s plant knowledge is really impressive, she knew exactly what was best for our soil and the Yorkshire climate. As someone with minimal gardening experience, I now feel like I have a route forwards to creating a beautiful garden whereas before I didn’t know where to begin!! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! Dean arranged for hedges and trees to be cut back behind a commercial office block. This was done speedily and professionally. Would recommend and use again!

Dean and his team came out to put me a new fence up. They were on time, professional, friendly and left my garden immaculate. Even finished the job before schedule. I can not praise Dean enough, he has recently helped me out clearing out a very overgrown area and would not accept any payment for it. The quality of the work that he provides is always first class. Over the years he has done numerous jobs for myself and my family, he is always prompt, polite and very knowledgeable about all aspects of his business. An absolute hidden gem! One of the most beautiful garden to visit in Yorkshire!! Plenty of interest everywhere you looked. There’s lots of different areas to wander and seating in places to marvel at the fantastic handiwork. The cafe had seating both inside and out with a good selection of food and drink. Plenty of parking spaces alongside a gift shop and plant nursery. Highly recommend visiting if you love gardens!!!

Visited the garden on 3rd September. Although it only has limited parking we had no problems finding a space. We were greeted at the entrance by a friendly and informative guide who gave us a brief overview of the gardens and amenities. As it was close to lunchtime the first stop was the cafe. This has a large seating both inside and in the garden. The food was good, we both had Paninies which were very good and at a good price. The facilities are spotlessly clean. You can visit the cafe without having to pay entry to the garden. The garden although is only 1 acre the design crams in so many small gardens and walkways it seems so much larger. The planting and hard landscaping is wonderful and is well worth the visit. Price is £7 which is very reasonable and even better is part of the gardeners world 2 for 1 ticket offer. The annual price is also a very cheap option at only .£30. There is also a shop and also plant sales again at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend a visit

A truly magical gem that surprises and delights. One of the most peaceful and restorative spaces I've had the pleasure to spend time in. This place couldn't fail to bring joy to all who visit. The sheer pleasure of being immersed in such a tranquil space can be seen on the faces of every single volunteer. It's a little escape from the hustle and bustle of life beyond the gate.

York Gate is a delightful one-acre Grade II National Heritage Garden created by the Spencer family. It delights with a succession of linked gardens (or "rooms"as they are known) which take their design inspiration from the Arts and Crafts movement and were developed thanks to the horticultural skills of its owner Sybil Spencer and developed between 1951 and 1994. Each individual "room" has its own beauty and interest, with a wealth of plants, shrubs and trees, some immediately recognisable, others much more exotic! There are several water features and unusual structures and stonework, a meadow with beehives plus varied and intricate pathways linking the different "rooms". I was fortunate to visit as part of a National Trust garden volunteer's group and had the benefit of a guided tour given by the affable and knowledgeable Head Gardener, who explained how the garden has evolved and continues to do so. There is also a cafe, shop and plant nursery on the site. It is most definitely worth a visit and cannot fail to impress and inspire!

I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful group of people. The design by John and the installation by Darren and his team was of the highest quality. My uninteresting lawn with borders and a tiny patio was transformed into something wonderful with a pergola, raised pond, large planters and patio but still with enough grass for a game of football or cricket to satisfy the grandchildren. Darren and the boys worked virtually non-stop for 5 weeks, often arriving in early morning darkness. Their attention to detail was remarkable and as the saying goes "You get what you pay for", it is worth every penny. Visitors always comment at how wonderful the garden looks. Thank you to everyone involved, especially to Darren and the boys.

Yorkshire Gardens completed an extensive landscaping job for me. I couldn’t have asked for more. They went above & beyond to get the job done in the time frame promised. After care has also been amazing, anything extra needed or any question asked was always responded to. The guys working on site were very polite & hard working. John & Darren are so helpful. Can’t recommend these guys enough. Amazing job!!

Hands down the best landscaping design and installation professionals in this region, if not the UK. The team are very patient and attentive to every detail in the garden. Our garden came a cost but we can say without doubt we are overjoyed with the outcome and the follow up service. John and his team have kept an eye on the garden to ensure the warranty period is honored and have been proactive in providing follow up care at no further cost. If you want outstanding design, installation and after care then you must go with these guys.

John was excellent on the design, taking the time to understand our brief and coming up with a design that we were really happy with. There was clear communication throughout the process so we knew what was happening when. The Yorkshire Gardens team who did the work were brilliant. Very hard working (the build coincided with a long heat wave!) and very friendly. They didn't mind explaining what they were doing and accommodated a couple of tweaks here and there without complaint. We were delighted with the outcome and six months later that's still the case. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Yorkshire Gardens, particularly if you want the design and execution of a garden project.
