Francesca McMahon at The Practice is the dentist I wish with all my teeth I'd discovered a lot earlier in life. It took me years to pluck up the courage to leave the dentist I'd seen since I was 9 and when I finally did, in my 50s, I could not have been luckier with my choice. It's a hard choice to make because let's face it, no-one l loves a visit to the dentist. But I can honestly say that Francesca and her hygienist put me at ease, took much better care of my teeth and built my confidence over several years of seeing them. I just wish I'd made the move earlier.

Francesca and Sara are amazing, I couldn't recommend them more. They are kind, professional and transparent. Having not been to the dentist for 10 years after a bad experience, they really changed my perception where i nearly enjoy going now... Also a shout out to Rachel on the front desk who is great at what she does and just lovely to deal with.

I approached The Practice at Mortlake for advice in relation to an anti snoring mouth guard. I couldn't be happier with the results. Francesca measured my teeth and sourced a guard through a company called Sleepwell. Although the guard itself looks slightly odd, after a few weeks of using it I can say it is comfortable to wear and it is very effective at stopping my snoring. I no longer have any complaints from my wife about my snoring and I'm finding that I am getting a better nights sleep as well. I cannot thank Francesca enough for her hard work which has made a huge difference to my sleep!

I have never had straight teeth. I told myself that it didn’t really bother me but the truth is, it really did. I had adapted by hiding my teeth when I could, especially in photos and when laughing. I knew I didn’t want to wear metal braces. However I decided as a New Year’s resolution for 2024 to sort my teeth out. I came across Dr Francesca’s profile on instagram and saw her before and after photos.….I booked my first appointment with Dr Francesca and have never looked back! Invisalign was absolutely perfect for me as it was both discreet (no one noticed I was wearing them over the 24 week period) and more importantly it didn’t affect the way I speak (I am a teacher). I felt little discomfort, swapping out my old retainers for the new ones. The bonus for me was that Dr Francesca was able to monitor my progress via the Invisalign app which meant I didn’t have to keep travelling down from Suffolk for appointments/checkups. She then finished the treatment with tooth whitening and composite bonding. It was only after straightening my teeth did I see how worn down my teeth had become as a result of my bite. The bonding is amazing - you can’t see the join between the bonding and the tooth (see photo). I would highly recommend Dr Francesca for Invisalign, composite bonding and tooth whitening. I have never wanted to show off my teeth more!

I honestly couldn’t recommend a dentist more highly, particularly if you are someone who would prefer pretty much anything to dental appointments! Francesca (McMahon) has such a lovely way about her and is so calming and reassuring when you’re anxious about dental work required. She is also brilliant at her job. I’ve been going to Francesca for well over ten years now and, if it’s possible to say going to the dentist is a pleasure, The Practice at Mortlake is as close as you will get. A huge thank you to Francesca and the whole team at The Practice for making recent treatment a lot more bearable, with plenty of laughs along the way and, of course, for taking away the pain! A brilliant team of professionals who are also wonderfully patient and kind.
