A few friends of ours recommended Bassett Carpentry for our kitchen extension. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone else. Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. Their team who completed the electrics and plumbing were also superb. We were very nervous as this was our first project, but Bassett Carpentry exceeded all expectations and did the perfect job. They also installed the kitchen itself, which we love. We are very grateful and actually missed having them around once the extension was complete! Thank you so much.

Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. No hesitation in recommending and would certainly use them again.

Andy and Pete consistently confirmed that we'd made the right decision when we asked them to build a single storey extension onto the back of our house and a replacement porch. They were not only highly skilled, patient, honest, trustworthy and communicative, they (and their team) were just great people to have around. That's pretty vital when they are going to spend months on your project! They used their vast experience and network to quickly resolve any challenges which arose and have left us with a life changing extension that we enjoy each and every day. The gorgeous extension is filled with light due to an apex roof housing two Velux windows and a complete wall of bifold doors with glass gable end. The Utility Room houses our white goods at a raised level for ease of use and our very swanky porch (!) is rendered as per the bottom half of the entire house. Quite a transformation! Andy and Pete, with Nick and Graham, carried out our loft conversion this year and we are so happy with their work. What we liked best was their time-keeping (they ran exactly to schedule) and costing (they ran exactly to quote, except for some extras that we requested). As important was their pleasantness in working with. They are very courteous, great communication, and any problems were listened to carefully and a sensible solution found. Our project was quite large (dormer L-shape loft conversion, complete reroof, chimney repoint, 2 new bathrooms and fitted cupboards and wardrobes). Their workmanship is of a very high standard and we strongly recommend them.

Lewis advised and replaced the bannisters on our stairs. He did a great job and was polite and courteous. I will be using his services again…. And I did, this time to replace all our internal doors with oak ones. Craig and Garath did an amazing job; they were really friendly and polite and left no mess.

Gareth who works for Lewis is fantastic and the workmanship in fitting our kitchen has been incredible. There has been a lot of pride taken in making everything top Notch. Hard working, well priced and tidy too! I would recommend without any reservations and would certainly come back to Lewis Edwards Carpentry for any future work.

Excellent job carried out by Craig to create a throughway from one loft to another to gain access. Advice was professional and an awkward job was completed promptly. I would highly recommend Lewis Edward Carpentry and won’t hesitate contacting them again when a need arises.

Aaron did a brilliant job of replacing our old internal doors. He was a pleasure to deal with, thoroughly professional and helpful, and his work was faultless. We are delighted with our new doors, which are much commented on by friends and family, and we'd have no problem recommending his work or using him again in the future.

I can't speak highly enough about the incredible work done by Aaron. From start to finish, the entire process of building our media wall was seamless and stress free. Not only was he professional and punctual, but the quality of his work is outstanding. The media wall has transformed our living room into a stunning space, with clean lines and thoughtful details that show Aarons keen eye for design. I've recently had two sets of built-in wardrobes done by Aaron (AJ), and he has been excellent from capturing my requirements to delivering the final product. AJ kept me posted with timelines, prices, materials and more and has never once declined a phone call from me asking yet another stupid question! The final product was absolutely fantastic and I am very glad I went with him after receiving another competitive quote. I will absolutely be using him again and referring him to friends and family to utilise his services.

From start to finish, Aaron and Nick did the most amazing job replacing our staircase. With an eye for detail, it was reassuring to know that a challenging project was in safe hands. Dan custom built us storage under our bathroom sinks, a window seat with storage, a beautiful fitted wardrobe in an alcove in our bedroom,added extra shelving and added shelves in our kitchen cupboards.He designed us what we wanted and we had detailed drawings. He kept us informed every step of the way.He is a very tidy worker and every evening left the place tidy.Dan takes huge pride in his work as the finished products show.I can highly recommend Dan and we will definitely use him in the future for any other projects.

Excellent craftsmanship! Dan at Wills & Co exceeded our expectations in designing our bespoke living room shaker style alcove cabinets and floating shelving tailored to our requirements. Dan was able to firstly lay the new golden smoked oak wood flooring finished with beading running along the skirting boards which compliments our new column radiator & newly fitted plantation shutters. We wouldn't hesitate to use Will's & Co again again and we've already booked future work for our hallway to match. The quality of work carried out here speaks volumes added by all the complements we've had from guests visiting recently. 10/10

Dan gave me a very quick quote that i agreed to. Im so pleased i did his work and attitude was first class producing a finished job that i’m very pleased with. I will and have already, recommended him to anyone looking for a joiner for their own projects.

I’ve had Dan work on 3 separate carpentry projects, all of which he has completed beautifully. Each one was bespoke to a design that mostly existed in my head. Given the age and lack of right angles and level ceilings and floors, he’s had had to work miracles. I can’t rate him highly enough.

Mark came to refurb our staircase and has done an excellent job! Took care and tried to work us as we have toddler who naps. Explained the job as he went along and cleaned up along the way. I would highly recommend Mark!

Booked Mark to fit 4 internal doors after he did such a great job fitting a kitchen worktop for us. Mark arrived on the day agreed, on time. Measured the individual frames (all different sizes!), removed the old doors, cut the doors to size, fitted the door handles & added an additional hinge for each door. During his visit, Mark was friendly, professional & tidied up after he'd finished the job. He cut the old doors in half to make it easier for me to dispose of them. And he took away some wood that needed to be edged / bevelled as he didn't have the tools woth him and returned it a couple of days later which I will be making into a table. New doors look great (still need to be painted though) & fit perfectly. Another great job by Mark. Again, woud happily recommend Mark for your woodwork needs. Thanks Mark.

We highly recommend Mark Lloyd. His work is outstanding and precise. A true craftsman. Nothing too much trouble. Clean and tidy. We had new oak balustrades and newel posts. Also wood panelling as you can see in the photos.

Mark has been a breath of fresh air to work with. Arrived as promised and his eye for detail is amazing. He has completed the stairs to a fantastic level of we couldnt be happier. We would definitely ask him to quote if we need any further work in the future.

Ian and Harry put a 3m extension on our kitchen and knocked down an internal wall to make it open plan with our living room. They then fitted a new kitchen for us and new flooring. We couldn’t have asked for more from them. They’re a great pair of guys. From the start of the project it was clear that they were very experienced in their trade, so we never worried about the quality of their work, but they were also a pleasure to have around our house for a few months. They did everything they reasonably could to minimise mess and make it possible for us to continue a family life. In addition they were very ably assisted by Ian’s wife, Lindsay, who sorts the administrative side of things. Spending a lot of money on home improvements is a daunting undertaking and you want to ensure you’re getting the right people, and we certainly did with these three. We feel lucky to have found them. Highly recommended.

Kevin is reliable and very competent with his carpentry. He did some very specific and detailed work on window sills and external doors on our very old building. He was punctual and tidy and took care of the surroundings. We are engaging him for more work later in the year. Thoroughly recommended!
