Totally pleased with Nick and George's work for us; a combination of carpentry and painting work. Initial planned job evolved a bit and they were very helpful in working through our options and the detail and finishing was top class and very good value for money. Will definitely use their services again.

We asked NGK Design & Build Carpentry to repair our sagging front porch. We are pleased with the repair of our front porch by Nick and George. They worked thoroughly and in detail throughout, making sure every minor thing wasn't missed. As we liked their workmanship, we asked them to fit a staircase railing on the deck.

Nick and George were very professional always on time and kept me in the loop on all the jobs. They really go out their way to help, and Carpentry finish is a very high standard. Replaced my outhouse door which was rotten with a lovely new door and they even gave it it's first coat of varnish ready for me to do the next two coats. They built a cupboard around my gas and electric meters and stained it for me. A perfect job. Various other smaller jobs like taking a bit of one door for me and also shaving down the back wooden gate so it closed properly. These two guys can put their hand to many jobs and I will definitely be using again they even sorted one of my double glazed windows. Very reasonably priced for professional carpentry work. Would recommend.

A few friends of ours recommended Bassett Carpentry for our kitchen extension. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone else. Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. Their team who completed the electrics and plumbing were also superb. We were very nervous as this was our first project, but Bassett Carpentry exceeded all expectations and did the perfect job. Andy and Pete consistently confirmed that we'd made the right decision when we asked them to build a single storey extension onto the back of our house and a replacement porch. They were not only highly skilled, patient, honest, trustworthy and communicative, they (and their team) were just great people to have around. That's pretty vital when they are going to spend months on your project! They used their vast experience and network to quickly resolve any challenges which arose and have left us with a life changing extension that we enjoy each and every day. The gorgeous extension is filled with light due to an apex roof housing two Velux windows and a complete wall of bifold doors with glass gable end. The Utility Room houses our white goods at a raised level for ease of use and our very swanky porch (!) is rendered as per the bottom half of the entire house. Quite a transformation! Well it’s been nearly a year since Pete and Andy and the team took on my loft conversion. I can say that their professionalism, skill and just hard work finished my project on time to the day !!! Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. No hesitation in recommending and would certainly use them again.

Kevin spent 3 days installing laminate flooring in my lounge, dining room and hall. Excellent job done transformed the downstairs. So happy I've asked him to do the upstairs now. Hard working and professional and friendly, I would recommend Hook Carpentry to anyone looking for a quality job.

Kevin of Hook Carpentry has done two items of work for us, The first was to change an opening door into a sliding door which he did very efficiently and quickly. The second job Kevin did was to build fitted wardrobes in our second bedroom from scratch. It was a long run and included hanging space and shelf space. Kevin was very professional and guided us to make the right decisions and we are delighted with the end result. He was a very clean and tidy worker and we would have no hesitation in highly recommending him.

Ordered some shelf brackets from Jake, and couldn’t be happier with the service. He made them incredibly quickly without compromising on quality. The brackets themselves are excellent—well-made and sturdy. Jake communicated well throughout the process and made everything easy from start to finish. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I’d highly recommend.

Jake and his team have built two beautiful sets of shelves for us, one for the kitchen and one for a sitting room. The work was carefully planned and meticulously carried out on time. There was no problem with a couple of last minute additions that suggested themselves once the shelves were installed. We’re really pleased with the work. The team were pleasant, considerate and carefully cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommended.

Richard and his team were great when we called them up to repair some rotting timbers on our 400yr old cottage! They took everything on their stride and kept us informed every step. They were clean and tidy, and completed the job on time and budget. Richard also returned at short notice a few weeks later when we found another very rotten timber. All work was carried out to an exceptional standard and blends in with the original wall perfectly. Highly recommended, and worth waiting for.

Really good experience. It was great to find a well established company that was not only prepared to take on a small bespoke job, but did quality work and was also reasonably priced. They treated us, and the job, with respect and professionalism. The job itself was building a bespoke hallway cupboard which they did really nicely. It looks great and fits perfectly in the space.

We spent a couple of years working design features with our architect and getting planning permission for our 3 bay car barn. We ran a competitive pricing process and were very impressed with the enthusiasm and attention to detail by Richard. This came through in the construction and in the culture of the Barnwood team as we met and worked with Callum, Haydn, Ben and Chris. Tabitha was also the engine that drove the project from the program, cost and contract perspective always overcoming those pesky issues that arise. This was not a straightforward build. Ground conditions, retaining wall, levels, existing structures all had to be either built, removed or adapted to suit. Richard and the team kept the site spotless and did everything in house. It’s such a pleasure to meet craftsmen that care and have the capability to meet conditions and solve the issues of the day in their stride. We will continue to use Barnwood as we improve our home and its grounds. Having spent 40 years in the construction industry I found this build a pleasure to be involved with and can wholeheartedly recommend the Barnwood team

Simon built us some understairs storage and a faux chimney breast. Simon easily turned our ideas in reality and did a fantastic job - we couldn't be happier with the end result! He was punctual and professional throughout the build, always asked our input on items and advised us where we needed it. I couldn't recommend more!
