We’ve now used James three times for various projects (reducing door sizes, shelves and now a garden planter). I originally picked Balham Woodwork based on his reviews. James has always been quick to respond and professional. His work gets lots of compliments! 10/10

Booked James to make and fit some custom box shelves to our alcoves, each side of our fireplace. The end result is fantastic. I’m excited to finish painting them and all all my books/display items to them. They’ve totally finished off our livingroom. I’d book James again for future carpentry/woodwork jobs in the home. Fantastic service from James. Friendly, easy to communicate with and installed my shelves quickly and perfectly. He even came round for a look before I bought the shelves, so I could be sure to buy brackets that would be appropriate for my walls and the purpose of the shelves. Definitely recommend!

James is superb, I can't recommend him enough. He has built and installed beautiful floating shelves for me - and he has recently perfectly restored a retro designer wood lamp. His work is of a very high standard, with an eye for style and elegance - and he's very nice to deal with.
