Solid Carpentry designed and installed a custom, built-in bookcase with a hidden door for me. Dmitriy was responsive, open & clear about what to expect (including considerations we had not thought of), took a lot of care and demonstrated real pride in his work - which made the whole process very enjoyable. Dan was really helpful and created a bespoke unit for me. He put a lot of thought into what l needed: a tv unit, cupboards for storage and shelving. He suggested what size it should be and where it would look best in the room. I was totally impressed with the amount of work and attention to detail he put into making it and would highly recommend him. I’m already thinking about other projects I’d like him to work on.

Toni and team designed, built and installed a beautiful door to replace an existing period window - the style matches very well and we’re really happy with it. We had a couple of issues with communication but it all smoothed out and we’ll definitely be using A1 bespoke joinery for any future window or door jobs we need!

I bought four timber sash windows from Toni. They had to be 14mm double glazing to suit a conservation area and obviously also had to meet buildings regulations. I researched places to buy the windows for many months and A1 bespoke joinery provided excellent quality windows at a much more affordable price than the bigger companies. I'm returning to A1 to buy a new front door and I won't hesitate to give them further business in the future. Excellent workmanship at a reasonable price.

I had A1 come to do my bay window this summer and the job has been seamless start to finish. Toni and the team have given me the windows I've always wanted! Beautiful sash windows that dont leak, have annoying condensation and hooray, actually make my flat warmer. It was great working with people who take the job seriously, Toni came and spent a decent amount of time measuring everything meticulously, he gave an accurate quote, stuck to the timelines he gave me AND managed to take into account my shutters that were already installed. A1 Joinery replaced 6 double glazed sash windows and 1 double glazed casement window at the front of my property and Toni and his team did a really excellent job. The windows are high quality and are competitively priced . The installation team did a great job fitting all the windows, particularly the dormer window on the top floor which was fitted without the need for any scaffolding. A1 Joinery can be relied upon to do a good job and are highly recommended.

Out of the 15 carpenters contacted, only three responded, but Nigel's communication was prompt and efficient. He responded quickly to the initial message and offered a competitive quote via email by using pictures. After agreeing on the job, he corrected the persistent problem with the kitchen cupboard doors by adding repair kits and additional hinges. The job was completed within a few hours with zero mess and zero hassle to the tenants. Throughout the project, Nigel's communication was exceptional, and he kept me updated on his progress. We had beautiful fitted wardrobes installed throughout our house last year in Crouch End, which are of extremely high quality and aesthetically beautiful. Having done a lot of research in the area, I think it is well worth getting bespoke rather than your typical high street fitter. There is a lot of appeal to picking your own colours and the uniqueness of the design. We are looking forward to working with Eoin again on our kitchen this year!!

Having had Frank do work on my house over the past 15 years, Frank and his team recently came back and refurbished a number of wooden sash windows, replacing fittings and repairing the external masonry cills and reveals. Fast and reliable as an Amazon prime delivery! I found Stuart details on google, under carpenter in my area. I left him a message in the morning, he returned my call in the afternoon. We had a chat, I sent him a few photos and the dimensions for 12 shelves in an unusual location for my flat in highgate. He gave me a quotation after 30 min. The following day he was a my door at the 9 am, as agreed, with the 12 shelves and supports ready for installation. The items were tailored to the site measured and installed perfectly after a few hours. From design to installation it took less than 24h.. Excellent service and result …highly recommend. Fabiana

We previously had Stuart and his team to install skirting. They did a great job so we asked them to return to install a new fire door and door frame. Our property is old and so a little wonky making things a little challenging. Despite this they did a great job and the finish was very professional. Would highly recommend. We'll be calling Stuart for our next project.
