Jan fitted fire doors and our loft bedroom wardrobes for us, he has excellent workmanship and is hard working and reliable. He is very diligent and always uses best practice, quality tools and professionalism throughout his work. Jan also put up some rails for us and other bits that we need help with. His quality work is done to a high standard we where very pleases with his work and would be very happy to use him again

In mid 2024 we asked several local carpenters to visit to provide quotes for various jobs we wanted to be undertaken including under stairs storage, additional fitted kitchen units and various fitted cupboards and drawers. When Rafal came we knew that he was the right choice before he even sent his quotation, he exhibited calm confidence and also a warm and friendly nature. And we were pleased when his quotes were very competitive. Rafal's work was to an excellent quality. He was clear in what was achievable and good at communicating when modifications to any design were needed to be made. Rafal was great at communicating before and after the work was done, both by WhatsApp and calls, and was amazingly flexible on dates when we needed to adjust due to materials not arriving in time. As a contractor myself, I was very impressed by Rafal's van setup which is super clean and tidy and shows that he takes pride in his work and presentation of himself and his profession. I can highly recommend working with Rafal and we look forward to having him back for additional work.

Rafal created beautiful, bespoke fitted furniture in our bedroom, painted it, installed LED lights and a fitted mirror. Rafal came by recommendation and has now done several jobs for us fitting custom cupboards in living room and utility, remodelled some of our kitchen and fitted over 70m3 of wooden floor. Vlad is truly professional carpenter and just as amazing human being. He helped us throughout a recent renovation of our living room and the result is absolutely great. Vlad was recommended to us to install our kitchen and carry out some bespoke joinery work. He went above and beyond and we are so happy with the end result! We have had so many compliments on our kitchen and so thankful for Vlad’s exceptional attention to detail.

We have been renovating our first home for over a year now and needed help repairing the stairs, Vlad was suggested to me via a friend on Instagram where he had done an excellent job with custom carpentry! Vlad helped us to totally transform our staircase, not just aesthetically, but also structurally! Our stairs were in bad shape, with large 2" gaps between the tread and the riser on 50% of the steps, as well as holes and years of grime and layers upon layers of paint. He filled gaps in the stairs with reclaimed wood and sanded them down to show off the beautiful grain of the original staircase, and reinforced the underside due to wobbly and loose supports from years of wear. When we removed all the carpet from the stairs, we discovered that the very bottom step was being held up with tape and in serious need of repair. Vlad applied traditional techniques to curve the wood around the step and slot it perfectly in place - we would never have been able to do that ourselves! I really enjoy working with someone who comes with a vision and works with you to make something truly unique. He suggested adding beading as a design detail to frame each step like panelling, make them pop out and also to add depth to something which is often overlooked. I would never have considered doing that myself and I'm so glad we've done it! My stairs are now a statement! Vlad is punctual, quick to reply, friendly, and trustworthy. He truly has mastered his craft and an impressive array of tools! It was a pleasure to work and learn from him. The frame for my patio door needed some mending, replacement of timber, and revarnishing. An excellent service - Julius visited promptly and provided a clear quote. He and his worker came on the date agreed and carried out the work to a high standard. They worked hard and cleared up after themselves. If it was possible to give 10* to JJ Carpentry and Maintenance Ltd I would. I had quite a complex issues with some very large doors to my property and had experienced very poor and expensive repairs previously. The work JJ did was outstanding and I couldn't be happier or more grateful.

I asked Beres for a new internal door, architrave and threshold for my bathroom, as the previous builders had messed things up badly, making it hard for me to enter without banging my head. He installed the door, raised the architrave, built the other parts and cleaned up everything . I am very happy with the new door and have just finished painting it. The photos show the old and the new doors. What a difference! Many thanks for a great job.
