Great service for a great price. Honest team who will treat you fairly. I recently moved to Barnsley with the wife and started shopping around for a local garage when we started having some car issues. After being shocked at some of the quotes from other local garages, like Evan Halshaw, for what I thought would be basic fixes, I was really happy and glad to find this garage. E.g. Evan Halshaw wanted to charge me over £200 in total to fix a door handle (buying the handle + labour etc). In the end, I bought the handle on eBay and the guys at Low Cost, fixed it on for a very reasonable (low) price. Genuinely just good guys. They earned my trust, and now I won't go anywhere else for anything car related. Especially because I don't know very much about cars, and I can feel here I ask everything I want, and get everything explained to me in a way I understand, so I don't feel stupid about it. It's good service from people with integrity. And for me, that really makes a difference.

I got my ford mondeo MOT with them. I would like to post a review because I went to Low Cost by looking others reviews. They are really genuine guys. I did not have proper knowledge of vehicle. But I knew my MOT going to be failed due to engine management fault light came. But I expected same part replacement and more repairs.As I expected Low Cost called me and said MOT was failed. Again they said they will do repairs and few bulbs change. They have done all and passed my MOT. I still can't believe the price which was 80 pound where I expected some big numbers. They honestly said engine management fault was one engine wire disconnected. But, throughout the repair I was not there. I can trust them 100% for any future repair as recommended them anybody to do your repairs. They are really low cost garage. Thank you. Kalum

Called in at their unit with ongoing suspension issues. Another "reputable" garage I'd made several visits to, & the issue persisted. They fixed a couple of immediate issues there & then, which was amazing. The last issue I'd just had "fixed" a couple of days before at the other garage. They showed me it wasn't fixed properly at all. Suggested I took photos & video of what they found & advised to take it back there with the evidence, & get them to honour it. They could have taken my cash to do that, but didn't, & now it's getting sorted properly. Straight talking, honest, transparent, & fast. Good pricing as well, what more you could ask for I don't know... If you feel like you've been mugged off elsewhere, go here 100% Thanks guys, I'll be back !

Called down on Saturday with clutch slipping issues. New clutch and flywheel needed. Fitted and back on the road Monday. Great turnaround as always. No messing around. Great lads.

Clutch went and car stuck on driveway undriveable. Usual garage that I have used for well over 20 years couldn't fit me in for two weeks. After looking on internet decided to try West Yorkshire Autos. Dean, the owner arranged for car to be collected by an independent towtruck at a very reasonable cost same day and replaced clutch next day as promised.

Literally saved my life. Unfortunately I had been screwed over by another garage who had done a terrible job and left my car in a dangerous way. Kaylie and Dan got my car in at the first opportunity, identified the problems, sorted the bodge job done by The Car guys, MOT'd it, And now I don't recognise my car. My clutch glides, she starts with a little purr, breaks are on point. Will 100% be going back as I've never had a garage be so thorough.

After a mad rush yesterday at 4.50pm, after recieving a letter that my mot had ran out nearly 2 weeks ago, Kaylie answered the phone and said they could do it tomorrow for me if I could drop it off tonight. Excellent customer service from al the team! Booked car in on the phone for air con regas as my air con has never worked in 3yrs of ownership. They had a slot within the hour, promptly worked on my car but it wouldn’t hold pressure, their testing equipment was away for repair so asked if I could return another time as they weren’t sure if it was their machine faulty. Came back the following morning and tried again to no avail, with advice it definitely has a leak. No money was asked for the hours labour in total, extremely helpful and will get repeat business from me!

As a woman you can sometimes be quite cautious going to a garage/mechanics but this place has always felt great for me! Never once made to feel uneasy or pressured for anything. Had two MOT's at a good price and always in good time, poor mechanic even stayed past his home time just to get it done as we were last of the day and staff never complained. Also had a puncture repair that hasnt failed in a year and cost me almost nothing. I took it in half hour later it was fixed. Great communication too, go for a walk we'll give you a ring when it's done. Never had a problem and staff always gone out of their way. Had a flat battery that needed replacing completely, they didn't have the right one in stock but straight away sourced one nearby and reserved it for us to go get fitted at the nearest halfords and charged my old battery enough to get me there (as i it wouldnt start otherwise) and they never even charged me for the time they spent either, just genuinely wanted to help.
