I stopped here for a good old English fry up after a few glasses the night before when visiting a friend who lives in the area. I would say It's getting harder to find good cafes these days that produce some much needed proper fried breakfasts and also do tinned tomatoes. An English breakfast isn't an English breakfast without tinned tomatoes! Nice location and easy parking, I would definitely recommend if you are in the area and wanting some tasty, very reasonably priced food, and when I say reasonably price, I mean the prices seem to not have changed since 1997.

Lovely coffee, using Dark Woods Coffee beans locally sourced. The coffee was made well, prices good, staff really friendly. You can easily park outside. I’ll definitely be back again, so nice to have good local coffee shops.

Stopped off for a quick coffee, loved the place, quirky, small, and all round a lovely place. Bonus if you are a dog lover

A great local cafe selling food made with good quality ingredients including Dark Woods Coffee 👌 When it is busy they have plenty of friendly staff working and service is usually in good time. Prices are really reasonable which is a real bonus these days! The only downside is that it is a little cramped downstairs and if it is busy, you can feel like you are sat with the people on the next table but, this is a minor thing. The breakfast menu allows you to make additions and substitutions easily with zero fuss which is always helpful. The full English with an extra sausage and a hash brown, a bacon sandwich, Coca Cola and a flat white cane in at under £20 which really is great value!

Visited today from out of area. Ordered a selection of 4 italian pastries, 4 cakes and 2 large coffees. Very good value at £24. Victoria sponge was amazing as was the red velvet cake. Bakewell tart equally good. Personally the coffee and walnut cake needed more icing but was very nice. And a very nice coffee which was massive rather than large!

A group of 6 went for the first time today we were seated upstairs. We ordered vegetarian breakfast..I didn't want tomotoes or mushroom so was subsisted for an extra halloumi slice. Veg sausages were amazing! We all Enjoyed the food it was hot and delicious... only slight nighle would be 1 egg isn't enough definitely need 2! Also don't margarine the toast...butter please! Oat latte was delicious...the coffee definitely has flavour. We would definitely return..CASH ONLY or Bank transfer accepted!

Eaten here number of times and always had good food and good service in a relaxed atmosphere. Went today and had a salad with prawns and Marie Rose would normally do the breakfast or baked potato with tuna both good. But my wife said the salads was good so decided to go a little healthy. The salad was good plenty of variety of ingredients not just the usual lame excuse i.e lettuce cucumber and tomato, the prawns was large and plentiful. On paper the cost seemed a little high but you certainly got value for money.

Good coffee. The dining area is an average lounge sized but with 5 or 6 tables. Quite cramped. Coffee and walnut cake too sugary but the lemon meringue was just right. Pleasant service. Dog friendly.

Huge portions of freshly made home food. Amazing coffee (I'm Italian and drink it with no sugar so I'm super fussy) with a great variety of "milks" and substitutes. Staff are young and kind, attentive, all smiles, service is fast but so accurate. They go out of their way to make customers happy. Immaculately clean and lovely choice of music. The cakes are so so tasty.

One of my favourite spots in Huddersfield. Arcade has nailed the art of great coffee and even better food. Everything they put out is made with care and attention to detail - the coffee and food looks and tastes incredible. Highly recommend!

Every time I come back to Huddersfield I always make sure to visit Arcade. The food is delicious and they have many great vegetarian options, the staff are always friendly and welcoming and their hot chocolate is one of the best in the UK as it’s made with real chocolate. I cannot recommend this place enough it’s a lovely little independent eatery inside Byram Arcade.
