We call in here a couple of times a month for a bite to eat. The staff are friendly, the food is good and reasonably priced, and the level of cleanliness is always high. Would recommend this place.

Used Taylor made cafe for the 1st time this morning and I can honestly say it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time, thanks.

Lovely breakfast,lovely people,they let you tweak your breakfast to your liking. Also they serve you fresh bread and butter or toast,from a uncut fresh 🍞 loaf! 5*

We went for Christmas Lunch today with friends. It was amazing the food was so delicious, we had a home made prawn cocktail to start which was so tasty then it was a choice of turkey or pork some of us had pork and our other friends had turkey both just melted in your mouth these were served with roast and mashed potatoes, roast parsnips pugs in blankets, stuffing ball, peas carrots, sprouts and the most amazing broccoli and cauliflower cheese and not forgetting the home made gravy. Bet had home made trifle and Geoff had christmas pudding and sauce plus mince pies but we were all too full. We have gone for a few years for our Christmas lunch because it is so lovely. Thanks to Janet and her team for a lovely time everyone is just so friendly. Anyone one who hadn't visited the tpot cafe you must it's wonderful tasty home cooked food. Diane Goodyear

T pot cafe is a small cafe set in a south Yorkshire town called dodworth it has the quirkiness of a tearoom Setting with lovely friendly staff I had all day large breakfast which was good quality plate clean of grease and oil very well presented this is definitely a hidden gem in yorkshire and I highly recommend the visit congratulations you scored a 5 star review 1 star for cleanliness 1 star for food quality 1 star for customer service 1 star for staff friendliness 1 star for presentation of food and premises

What a little gem! Came for light lunch with my two sisters after seeing the cafe advertised on Facebook. Afternoon tea been served which looked delicious but does need to be prebooked. Something to look forward in the future! Thankyou ladies for a very pleasant afternoon.

An absolutely lovely cafe in Cannon Hall with brilliant staff, great little seating area, and a good range of food. Really good prices and caters for vegetarians with a small number of vegan options. They had a huge range of teas and both the tea and coffee tastes lovely. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is that I would like to see more vegan options and less disposable plates and cups — I noticed they were Vegware which is good but ideally would just have reusable things, especially for easy swaps like cutlery which could be reusable without too much to wash up. Also, would be great if condiments were not in the individual sachets and were just bottles that people could use to minimise waste😊 However, I’m really pleased with our visit and will be returning!

The Pear Tree Pantry are my neighbouring business. They help my business with catering for our classes. The food is always amazing, the coffee is also fantastic! Teh staff are always helpful and polite.

Recently opened at Cannon Hall adjacent to the walled Garden . We have been several times now and had nice food and a cuppa. Owners Clive and Terri are friendly as are all the other staff. Cafe is tucked away under the archways seating outside (some covered) and small alcoves under cover . Parking is cheap in main car park (Barnsley Council) £1 for 2hours and then 5mins walk Definitely worth a look and good prices too ! More tables and chairs now to enable more customers to sit out ( some with umbrellas ) . They will make food not on the menu for you if they have the ingredients !

Lovely afternoon tea (you need to pre book). Very good value for money. Refills on coffe and tea, goody bag for home essential as lot's to eat 😊

We've visited this cafe many times. Popped in for lunch today and were lucky enough to get a table in the small dog friendly area. Great coffee and inventive dishes. I had the garlic mushrooms on sour dough, which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the hash and black which he really enjoyed. We were sadly too full for cake, but there's a great choice of yummy treats.

We visited on a Saturday in October and were lucky to get a table in this popular tea shop. The setting is idyllic-lovely walks through trees and a reservoir, a functioning historic mill, lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the setting in the warmer months. The tea shop itself is excellent. The staff are welcoming, the food is delicious and they have a surprisingly large variety of cakes on offer-about 20, all freshly made. We really enjoyed the lemon meringue cronut. They offer made to order pizzas using their own milled flour (delicious) and a range of sandwiches-we enjoyed their grilled cheese on sourdough. They also serve proper coffee! A perfect place for a spot of lunch or coffee and cake. Dogs are welcomed :)

Went for a catch up with an old friend. It was so busy being the festive period. However, the staff were making sure tables were cleared as soon as people vacated. The food was amazing and we took a quick look in the farm shop. I had to restrain myself in their cheese monger section. Amazing views out of the cafe with a decent outdoor area to boot. Will deffo be making a return trip in the future.

We live in Hertfordshire but we love our regular visits to Thorncliffe Farm Shop during our regular visits to Yorkshire. We always stock up on meat from the excellent butcher’s department and the pies are outstanding always fully filled and delicious, including both the fruit and meat varieties. It’s well located with plenty of parking. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Ohhhhh Claire - the rules of engagement when unhappy with a service are: 1. Complain direct - public slaughter is, in all honesty, ineffectual yet bloody 2. Accept that customers aren't always right 3. NEVER virtue signal 4. Avoid the use of hyperbole We've eaten at Thorncliffe, buy all our meat etc, which makes us regulars I guess. Thorncliffe is a busy, throng-on experience, and the reason behind the busy is the fact that both cafe and shop provide excellent food and service. Anyone can check, via this app, whether Thorncliffe is busy, not busy, etc, thus allowing the customer control over when they visit. For my part the only time I've had a negative experience was down to a customer being an utter nuisance, not the staff. It wasn't you Claire. Highly recommend Thorncliffe - local, fantastic produce, pricing reflects the quality, friendly staff, all of which is why we frequently visit.

Very hip little coffee place, a little more expensive than some other spots in Barnsley but you feel like this is a premium place with premium food & drinks. The coffee is very nice, the savoury food is tasty, but the sweet options are out of this world, the doughnuts are as big as your head!

Called in after some good recommendation, and wasn't disappointed. Lovely clean modern interior, very polite lady who was rushed off her feet but very welcoming and friendly. The food was very nice, cooked perfectly and well packaged in a heat bag. A good range of food on the menu too. Highly recommended 👌

Ran out of time to feed the kids today so decided to call off and grab me and the kids some dinner and I am so glad I did, staff are friendly and welcoming. Food definitely good for the value we all had a chicken,bacon and brie panini with a very fresh salad and coleslaw each, all meals in hard takeaway box's so easy to transport home. 5* from me will definitely be using again.

Passed 15 mins ago & needed breakfast.. the BEST sandwiches we’ve had in a long time! Shame we’re no longer local but my family are so I’ll be sending them! ☺️

Fantastic little cafe. Great selection of tray bakes. Will take phone orders ahead of time so worth noting if large groups plan on arriving e.g. bike clubs.
