Breakfast was really nice! I had the french toast and it was delicious, the orange mascarpone made it very refreshing so it wasn't too sweet. The portion size was also huge. We also had the breakfast brioche, again very delicious but definitely recommend it with added bacon.

Arrived, Leeds is a mission and half to drive to over Xmas. Breakfast with extra egg, amazing did look at the pancakes, but I'm having something like that for the dessert or sweet. Upstairs was packed. Will book a reservation in future. Spiced chocolate cake? I think.p

The food is fabulous, highly recommend the Turkish eggs and also the pastries. I would suggest asking for some of the pastries to be heated like spinach & feta or the chocolate, hazelnut and pear (they won't offer but will do upon request). Coffee is great, and service is rapid meaning you can stop before your train. Booking looks advisable as always busy.

This is my first visit to this establishment, and I must say it has left a remarkable impression on me. Opting for breakfast here in the morning was undoubtedly the right choice. From the very first moment, the young and attentive staff ensured a warm and welcoming experience. The time spent here, combined with the unique atmosphere, is as exceptional as the food itself. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who has yet to try the local cuisine – it is truly worth the visit.

Beeston born and bred, but never been to this fabulous super friendly and family feel cafe. Budget is good for someone with a small income and the prices are fair but the food is on point, and I have to admit I wanted to pay for two breakfasts just for myself. Freshly cooked and toast was amazing, not hard or cold but warm, soft and exquisite. Have to admit the owner Tony is warm, professional and above & beyond. Customer Service second to none and I hate to say this I cannot find a fault with anything except I want more menu choice - BIGGER BREAKFAST PLEASE.

One of the best cafés in Nottingham. Tony is such a delightful chap that makes you feel so incredibly welcome. Not to mention the fantastic breakfasts at great prices!

Such a lovely place that's run by lovely people!!! What can I say Tony is probably the most welcoming person I've met for a long time. He has a back in the day manner about him and instantly makes you feel welcome as soon as you step foot in the door. The cafe has some very beautiful views, with indoor and outdoor seating to pick from. The cafe itself has such a cosy feel to it, almost warm and filled with so many sentimental items. The food was great and you can actually get a decent cup of tea here unlike so many cafes. Will deffinately be visiting again.

Updated review, November 2024: visited at peak time on busiest day of the week. Another overall good experience. Very impressed by the team who work flawlessly and efficiently. Turned out that half the pancakes this time were at least a bit dough-y and undercooked in the middle, sadly. But staff replaced the 1 we complained about with 2 perfect ones. (We didn’t tell them about the others as they were good enough to eat or nibble at and we were getting full anyway!) Everything else was great. Will be back! August 2024: Fantastic American pancakes. Great service (thanks Tommy!) and perfect food. Really nice spot. I will be back!

Got their brunch deal for about 10£ total including some add ons. The food is seriously as good as it looks! Eggs benedict were cooked perfectly. Service was excellent as well. Very homely cafe to unwind and relax with friends. Will be back soon

Took my mother-in-law there for a high afternoon tea (it comes with a glass of Prosecco). As a coeliac (I need gluten-free food) I can often struggle to get a variety of items on a menu. What was fantastic about this was that my afternoon and my mother-in-laws were identical in variety and size ... just mine didn't have gluten. It made the experience so much more enjoyable. All the items were delicious although we both couldn't finish all of it so had to had a 'doggy box' to take some of the top tier cakes home! Yes its not cheap - but you definitely get what you pay for! Thinking of going back soon for the bottomless brunch :-)

First time I've ever visited. I only called in for sandwiches to take home but the staff were so friendly and attentive that it won't be my last visit! They recognised my disability and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable without being condescending. Even the other customers they had in-shop at the time were friendly, obviously regulars, and for good reason I'd say! I also have to mention the way the food was wrapped, it was still hot by the time we were ready to eat it which is important, and the quality was worthy of writing about. I actually expected to have to pay a premium because of the location so was shocked with the better than value for money experience. I would recommend this food bar to anybody, no question. We drove up to Leeds for a stadium tour of the church opposite the cafe.. We arrived at Elland rd. after two hour drive and we were ready for something to eat and drink. We spotted the cafe was open and decided to give it a try. The wife had jacket potato and it was great . I couldn’t resist the belly buster breakfast and added black pudding , well we had a busy day ahead. Wow, it is a belly buster indeed , I can’t fault it , just how a breakfast should be . Everything was cooked to perfection and a huge serving . I loved it , the staff were great , clean environment, smashing good food and a view if the best footy club in the worlds comings and going’s. It would be worth the drive just for the breakfast , thank you .

Lovely sandwiches with fresh salad I had the ham and cheese with salad on a brown teacake, and it was a perfect sandwich. 5 Stars will be coming again in my lunch break ❤️

The first time we came they only supplied coffee and cake, but now they offer lunches. Yay. The first thing that strikes me, it’s a lovely atmosphere. Nice and friendly staff and customers. It’s great to see they welcome laptop working and have a fair guide available to see. Encouragement for extended laptop working is upstairs with a nominal fee. Parking is available in the Broxtowe’s car park is opposite or if you can keep you visit time down to 30mins there is free street parking round the corner (we managed 35 mins and didn’t get a ticket). It is on the tram route with a stop just 2 mins up the road. The tomato soup with sourdough was lovely. The facilities are spacious and clean.

It used to be my favorite brunch place, but since it changed owners, the prices have increased significantly. While I understand that the cost of living has gone up and they need to raise prices, it no longer feels like a great value. I feel like there are better options available now, so I rarely go there anymore. After the change in ownership, the quality of the food and beverages has remained the same, and the taste is still good. The only difference is that the prices are much higher than before, and it doesn't feel as valuable. The service, however, is good, and the staff is polite and friendly.

Great value, no frills café. On entering the café you just sit wherever is free. The place doesn't hold that many people. It seemed a bit dark at the front as the lights weren't on and we weren't sure it was open. The lady serving us was really nice and jolly and our brunch order came promptly. Two guys did come in who didn't receive any attention until they moved closer to the counter though so you need to make them aware you are there I think. The breakfasts we ordered were fine although I wasn't expecting tinned tomatoes with it as the picture showed fresh. For me that was a bonus as I like them but some might not. My fry up came first and the bacon was just how I like it, crispy but I suspect that was because it had been in a warmer. Similarly the eggs were very well done. The last breakfast to arrive a few minutes later I suspect had just had the eggs freshly done as the yokes were runny. That didn't bother me and I'm sure if I'd ave asked for a runny yoke they'd have accommodated my request. All in all a great value place for brunch but as you can see they provide other meals also. I didn't ask but a selection of those mini jam pots would be good to get with the toast, at extra cost of course.

We came in on a busy saturday morning for brunch, staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. There was some building fault towards the end of our time there that meant they were closing early but the staff handled it amazingly and we never knew there was an issue, and we weren’t rushed to leave after they decided the kitchen had to be closed. Definitely will be making this a regular spot for weekend treats.

Great little cafe for us to stop at on our travels. We're currently in Nottingham on business and this place was a great way to kick start our day! Food was served quick with a really good portion size for breakfast. My only real problem was the plates for the "big breakfast" were so big we couldn't fit two on a table together.

Gutted to see 'Johns' close. The best greasy spoon cafe in the world (fact :) . Longest running too? Huge thanks to John and all the team for feeding all the residents and workers of Holbeck for decades. You're going to be very missed! All the best.

Really nice spacious wifi cafe tucked away within a business park. Comfy chairs are included with the seating and the decor incudes vases, pictures, and even a free book shelf if you feel yourself in the "reading zone". The pricing is very reasonable and the food is good value for the quantity. There is additional outdoor seating, but beware the benches are a bit rickety. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome.

English breakfasts are a must - those hash browns are amazing. Top quality produce, friendly servers and fabulous surroundings.

A bottomless brunch where the food is as appealing as the unlimited mimosas! Impeccable food, lovely staff and a great spot on Call Lane to watch the world go by on a sunny afternoon. We shared the Biscoff Pancakes and the Chorizo & Bean Burrito so we could enjoy IF’s sweet and savoury offerings.

Stopped by @ifupnorth recently and was impressed by the menu. Tried the Bunch Club Royale—fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, and a rich hollandaise, alongside the smashed avocado which had a great creamy texture. The If Bennies Classic was one of the choices I like, with well-balanced poached eggs and flavorful hollandaise. For drinks, the flat white had a nice creamy feel, the caffè americano offered a deep, smooth kick, and the mocha was a great mix of espresso and chocolate. The vibe here is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot for a chill brunch or coffee. By fishenjoylife
