I enjoyed a veggie breakfast with hot drinks and a pint of real ale for under a tenner. Not very busy when I visited on a Monday morning, but the welcome sun made sitting in the beer garden quite pleasant.
We stopped here on a journey down the M6 instead of using the motorway service area. It's a massive pub that has the normal great Wetherspoons menu with something for everyone. The pub was clean and tidy, and food came quickly, especially when ordering on the app. Everyth was hot and well cooked.
We regularly visit this pub when in the area. Great space, and prices. Beer garden great in good weather. Never had any problems, but on this occasion staff would not take a Scottish £10 note!! Disgusted. Apparently it is due to the number of forgeries they get!! Do they never get English forgeries then? We go to the racing at Haydock, and bookies never have any qualms about taking them!! It's UK sterling for goodness sake! Rant over 😄😄.
