On my 1st visit the food was great we went on a weekend had the breakfast with scrambled eggs was good quality produce which was why was happy to pay extra for quality.
2nd visit they took our order to the wrong table and was sat waiting and had to ask where our breakfast with scrambled eggs was. They was quick to rectify and offered a free cake as a sorry for the mixup which was a great quality banana bread.
3rd visit I think the chef has changed we ordered the breakfast with scrambled egg and it arrived looking white and yellow unappealing not mixed and looked like been microwaved so sent back and then arrived perfect.
Well today we went during the week and asked for scrambled egg we sent it back 3 times and gave up asking for a refund.
How hard is it to mix eggs instead of delivering unappealing white scrambled egg with touches of yellow. Sorry the quality has really gone down hill £6.70 all they had to do was mix the eggs. Even a cheap cafe mix the eggs. The waitress knew what we wanted but the chef just did not. No apology when got refund. So not the usual service was great when they 1st opened. Not sure I would go back to eat again unfortunately.

The location is Amazing and dog friendly also. Staff is as nice :) We went for breakfast 🍳 Even though it looked nice the food for me I couldn’t even finish as didn’t enjoy it at all. I should of picked something else. I had the sourdough bread with avocado and poached egg. The bread I could hardly cut through, the Egg was so small and hardly anything to it and the avocado had so much lemon in it I just couldn’t eat it all. The Iced coffee was nice though. All the other breakfasts that were coming out looked nice so maybe give them a go.

Great atmosphere, respectful quiet vibe for people who want to work and not be disturbed. Nice rnb jams playing in the background at a decent level.

Haven’t had much food other than the lemon courgette pistachio and carrot cake. Which were to die for 😍😍😍 10/10

Young black man who served me was very friendly and attentive.

Have recommended to my partner as they like to go to coffee shops to study/work. This seems like a great fit.

A beautifully renovated historic place to while away a few hours in a roomy space with light music, away from the elements. The brownie was melt-in-your-mouth excellent — recommend — but the Bakewell cake too grainy with coconut flakes for my taste. The yellow canaries on the wall are a nod to the women who worked here making artillery.

Contemporary minimalism well suited for this location in one of the numerous heritage buildings in former historical armament research and development site.
A menu offering limited brunch, pastry/cake and “small plates” choices still manages to touch base across the dietary spectrum. Alcohol served.
Staff, industry adept, efficient and effective.
Pleasant.
