The Best Cafes in Tooting, Greater London, United Kingdom (2025)

After having seen so many positive reviews and posts on social media about this local cafe, I had the chance to go and try in person! It was a busy Saturday morning but still we found a table to sit on. I tried the classic eggs and bacon bagel and it was freshly made and delicious. Worth noting that they have a fresh choice of pasties and other sweet items, different every day, depending on the availability :)

Lovely coffee shop, I have only been twice and on the second visit they already recognised me from a week earlier! The staff are all such a delight and the vibes were immaculate. We had two bacon bagels, piping hot and crispy, and an oat flat white and oat cappuccino. All were absolutely perfect. If you’re nearby I highly recommend a visit, it’s well priced and the staff are genuinely such a draw to come here! 10/10!

Coffee in the Wood was my local cafe for over two years, before moving. Not only are the coffee, cakes and sandwiches amazing - the staff and family who run it are genuinely some of the loveliest people you will ever come across. A real treasure for Colliers Wood!

I had a lovely experience. Malek provided excellent levels of customer service. The food is delicious especially the refreshing passion storm fruit smoothie (mango,passion fruit and Aloevera). It hit the spot! I would recommend anyone to come and visit. Whether it’s quiet time alone by yourself or catching up with friends and family.

I come here whenever i am passing by and they always have the best coffee, cakes and food. I’ve tried all the cakes and every single one of them is beautifully made, fresh and delicious. Whenever I come in Fatten is always very welcoming, friendly and makes a lovely oat cappuccino. excellent customer service from her every time I visit. Thank you ♡

Come here on a regular basis as they have the best pastries I have tried in London. The menu food is AMAZING, looks and tastes amazing so if you are after an incredible photo worthy brekkie defintely visit here. Also the service is outstanding and the owner takes his time to talk and catch up with us daily, while also running the cafe. This place is very special to my partner and I and our coffee runs here are one of favourite parts of the day when we are in Tooting

Hidden gem! We popped in for brunch - really quick service, great menu options and DELICIOUS food! Really good value. We had the courgette fritters and the smashed avocado, poached eggs and bacon on sourdough. Thank you!

Excellent spot, better food than many breakfast/brunch places around. Top quality menu and service, fresh and tasty and very friendly. Highly recommend if you're in the area or passing by over all the other spots if you want a quick brunch or breakfast.

We were looking for a place to grab a sandwich and a coffee and found this café. Highly recommend it! The sandwiches were good and we took a look on the menu and saw that the place offers different breakfast/brunch options. We decided to have our breakfast at Molten Toffee the next day and it was amazing! Freshly cooked and tasted extremely good! The chef is very friendly and kind! The best breakfast we had so far in London.

Good menu and selection of cakes/desserts. Staff were very friendly and food very well presented. Coffee was good. My only dislike about it was although everything looked great, it didn’t taste great. Apart from the coffee, everything else tasted very okay.

The flavours just burst into your mouth. Beautiful egg's benedict, perfectly cooked and a very heavenly hollandaise sauce. This place has a very calming atmosphere and has a lot of food options to choose from i.e salads, meals, sandwich, deserts and pastry's that are all homemade.

Amazing coffee and selection of desserts, pastries, cakes, paninis and lunch options. Really good service, polite staff, very accommodating. Will be coming back very soon! :)

It was my first visit and I had the vegan breakfast and hot chocolate. This cafe has a cute, homey feel to it and the food was really yummy. I definitely recommend going there, but maybe it's better to go with a friend/loved one. I went there alone, just to treat myself but it got just a little busier, and luckily had my ear phones to block others out. Also I had to witness a man appearing to chat up the waitress while she was trying to show off her IG. So yes, you can find entertainment here if you are really bored or maybe someone special.

I recently visited and had an outstanding experience. As soon as we walked in, the staff welcomed us with warmth and kindness, setting the tone for our visit. I ordered a coffee, and it was absolutely perfect—10/10! The food was surprisingly amazing, exceeding my expectations. Absolutely love this cafe. Perfect coffee and bravas - the portion is huge. We're going to get their coffee beans once we run out of the ones at home. What a gem in our neighbourhood!

Nice cosy place in tooting. Service was exceptional and food was really tasty. I had french tacos. It was a mix of chicken, beef and melted cheese. Fresh juice was nice. My wife had the full English and enjoyed all of it, would have preferred bigger portion if had ordered but fine for her. She enjoyed her cappuccino. It's not overly pricey but not cheap I would say overall worth it.

One of the best cafes in the area, where you can get delicious food, excellent coffee and amazing dessert. Reasonable prices, retro style, and cozy atmosphere. Will definitely love to return soon!

I stopped by this delightful restaurant to get away from the mad Xmas frenzy happening in Tooting High Street! Plus I was hungry. Very pleasant guy served me scrambled Eggs and smoked salmon with toast. Best I've ever had, this and a good coffee ☕. Nice cosy place, ideal when you need a break. X

We visited here after many years. And got two full Tartine breakfast which had all the usual items which we enjoyed anfd egg done as exactly as requested. And got a cappuccino which was generously sized. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. The interior is now looking a bit worn out and could do with a mini refresh. But overall we had a good experience.

Nice little coffee shop. I only popped in for take-away flatwhite, which was perfect. The young lady serving me was lovely. I would try that banana bread since it looked so good, perhaps next time when I'm in the area.

Good quality breakfast/brunch cafe near Tooting Bec station. I enjoyed my croque monseiur and they have an interesting selection of non-traditional options also. Service was friendly, although we didn't receive our coffees until after our food which was a little disappointing.

Don't judge this place by the closeness to the station. They actually serve very good coffee (Nude Coffee Roasters) and fantastic brunches. Corn savory pancakes is something I haven't seen much in London, and the salt beef open sandwich called "Ape" was fantastic as well.

We got full English Breakfast (vegetarian and non-veg) and a cappuccino. Everything was delicious! absolutely worth a try if you’re staying in Greater London 😁

Everything is as tasty as it looks. Taste buds got taken on a trip that ends in heaven. Service is amazing, by time I sat down the food and drink was ready and brought to to the table and to top it off it came with a beaming smile.

I come here since quite a few years now everytime we stay in Tooting during our London stay. The place got nice choices for breakfast and its prepared well. I really love the Avocado Signature and the pancakes. Also the stuff is nice and friendly and I was never disappointed.
