The Best Cafes in Holloway, Greater London, United Kingdom (2025)

The coffee and service were absolutely fabulous, but this is NOT a coworking space. According to the baristas, that space closed over a year ago and Google has refused to take down those misleading pictures. Here are some more recent photos of their space, for your reference.

Lovely little spot on Holloway Road with friendly barista. Quickly popped in for a chai latte & croissant & enjoyed. There’s outdoor seating around the back which is a nice, tranquil escape from the road.

AMAZING & DESPERATELY NEEDED! A hidden oasis, workspace, & community of young professionals in this huge warehouse, in an under-served area of Holloway. The front looks like like a tiny cafe with great coffee & sandwiches... but keep walking on through to discover a desperately needed workspace for North London creatives & professionals. Courtyard is lush and green, and I hope they'll serve beers in the summer.

Great coffee - temp, texture and espresso were all good. Toastie was great and made with good ingredients. Also the outdoor seating was warm enough with the heater that my girlfriend and I could sit outside very easily despite it being 3 degrees c. All in all nice spot with good vibes and tasty goods.

Popped in for a Full English before the football and not disappointed. Food lovely, good sized portions, service friendly and more than happy with the price, I was expecting over £10 but it was just £8.95, brilliant value. Will be heading back here when next in the area.

Owners are very welcoming!!! Euro cafe is great if you want a refreshing study environment or just a chilled coffee time!!! One of my favourite cafe in Blackhealth/Lewisham area - also you have to visit this cafe if you want to experience the vintage 90s cafe vibes. A MUST VISIT CAFE !!!

Great little cafe for lunch! Tasty freshly made roll with bacon and lashings of avocado. Excellent coffee. Decent price. Pleasant table service. What's not to like!

Greeted warmly upon arrival, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Explained the whole menu to us before we ordered, and short waiting time for the food. Tried Sunday Roast for the first time, and they did not disappoint! Food was really good, and the cafe’s ambiance is really nice.

Lovely little cafe. Becoming our go-to when we're in the area. All the staff are so friendly, welcoming and happy to hope. Manu served us this weekend and was delightful. Great selection on the menu with so much to choose from. Everything I've had so far has been very tasty. Great flavours, well presented and freshly prepared. Tasty coffee too. Very appealing desserts that are hard to resist. Highly recommend - great to support an independent local business.

First time coming to this cafe in London. We were visiting from France and needed a halal spot for brunch to taste the english breakfast. I had the english breakfast that i ended up sharing with my brother (the portions were very good, and came with a good portion of toast) and he had the lamb chop that the waitress requested the lamb chop to him and we were not disappointed!! She told us it was the special meal of the day and that it was very good and it was! The lamb was so soft and really well cooked, the gravy that came with it was so tasty and well seasoned. For someone that doesn’t like the meats in the english breakfast usually, here taste all of them and everything was so good and well cooked. My friend had the fluffy pancakes than came with eggs and meats, as well as a fresh smoothie, and a mocha for me. Everything was delicious. The waitress was so nice, even spoke to us in french if we didn’t understand some stuff, and explained the menu really well when we came in. The service was fast, and the food at a good price. The decor was really cute!! We will definitely come back i when we visit london again! Thank u so much!

Fantastic place to get a halal Sunday roast ( they serve everyday!) love how the roasted chicken was tender and juicy and generous amount of mashed potatoes and veggies with an affordable price. The server was very attentive and hospitable. She made our dine in feel at home. Overall highly recommend!

I really enjoy coming here to grab a takeaway coffee (takeaway only for now) and to soak in the atmosphere for a moment. It feels like an oasis in the concrete desert of London. Attached is what the shop looks like at the moment (post lockdown) The coffee beans are from Monmouth and the coffee is really well made. The plants in the photo are both decorative and on sale throughout the shop, going from tiny succulents all the way to free standing house plants. I definitely recommend stopping by even to browse 😊

Simply the loveliest coffee place in the area!! I am a regular (and loyal hehe) customer of theirs. I buy coffee from them at least 2 times a week. You can collect a stamp everytime u purchased a coffee and the 9th is for free!! (I think I've already had 4 free drinks yayy) The coffee they make is decent for sure. I personally love the taste of their beans. Another reason why i always come back when there are other choices around the area is that the baristas are always so friendly and welcoming, especially the lady from Czech Republic (should've asked ur name, apologies). She is literally the sweetest barista I've ever met!!! Such great hospitality, full of passion and great energy. She always sparks up great conversations and I just enjoy chatting with her everytime I go there to grab a coffee. You know when someone remembers what u causally said last time and asks about a follow up the next time u go… genuinely feels like a friend of mine, but a friend who makes good coffee. The environment in the coffee shop is also nice and comforting. They got all these green plants in it and a calming background music. U can buy a cute plant from them, or u can simply enjoy the peace and calmness this place brings to u. Like an escape from the hustle and bustle. Words cannot describe how much this place means to me when i have been away from home and going through difficulties. I am just truly grateful for ur existence. xx

If you haven’t already try chilli with cornbread, I believe you should and you won’t regret it. Coming here for a few Sundays straight already and it’s only getting better. The usual chai latte (which is uniquely not just a syrup) is amazing and goes well with everything, especially bread pudding or smoked salmon bagel. Ask to grill it if you dare ;)

Fantastic service and delicious food and coffee. Staff were incredibly friendly and warm. Stumbled across this place before heading to the train station but will be definitely returning! Wonderful to see creative vegan options on the menu too (I recommend the smoked cheddar cornbread!)

The atmosphere here is great. I have ordered crushed avocado on smoked applewood cheddar & Jalapeno cornbread and it tastes fantastic. The home-made cornbread toasted evenly with a crunchy surface, serving it with avocado, chilli and spring onion are definitely highly recommended. The environment is chill and relaxing with soft music. Wifi and charger are available. A highly recommended cafe to have meals and study or work at the same time. Last but not least, I am not a coffee fan but their coffee tastes really great. In conclusion, I love this place.

Came in while looking for somewhere decent to eat in an area I did not have high expectations of. I was proved wrong luckily. Delicious coffee, and imaginatively filled toasties and rolls in healthy bread options like sourdough. I am not vegan or vegetarian but these options were delicious. Will visit again when in area 😃

This place is a hidden gem💎 Beautiful venue, super neat and tidy, good food, efficient and super fast service. Love it! Definitely 10/10 recommend🫶🏼

We really enjoyed the food here! The grilled goat’s cheese was unique while the frittata and english breakfast was done nicely. We appreciated the generous portions and balance of fresh salad on the side.

Passed this a few times when going to Arsenal but never went in because I thought it was just a coffee shop. But it's a little gem. Went in there yesterday as everywhere else was packed, Friday night and Arsenal playing. Food and service are great and I'll be coming here from now on when going to Arsenal.

This plate is not yet on the menu, it's by request. Every time I change my request, the chef is brilliantly delivering good food. Challenge to perfection!

I’ve been coming here for years, a visit down memory lane, interior is now more modernised but the food is still just as good! Best greasy spoon and bacon in London!

What a fabulous cafe! Clean and friendly, I had a full veggie breakfast (one of four options) and a lovely cup of coffee for £7.50 All piping hot and delicious. Literally too much food to eat, and great service. Highly recommended ✨

Food was amazing, great service the people were really nice serving the food and it was delicious. The sad thing is we discovered it when we're leaving back to Australia. Anyway you are still the best food we had on our trip. five stars

A proper old-school cafe, with great food and a warm welcome. A real bonus for me are the plant-based dishes also on offer. Today's options were vegan Shepherd's Pie or Fasolada (white bean casserole). Fasolada was a no-brainer... who wouldn't want a real Greek dish prepared by a real Greek chef? Delicious, hearty, authentic food - clearly made with love. Excellent value too. See also: Jay Rayner's Guardian review. Returned to London after many years and wanted to have breakfast in a proper caff (greasy spoon). The Hope was perfect. They have all the traditional menu options and other variations including vegan options. The owners were so lovely and friendly and up for a chat. Wished we could have come back to try the lunch menu. Cash only. Good value.

I came here today to take away vegetarian Greek lunch dishes! It was delicious! The lasagne and moussaka were excellent. The lady was very kind and allowed me to bring my dog inside whilst we waited. I hope they take cards soon in the future as I don’t always have cash on me and would love to come back for lunch again. Thank you!!! 😊

Came here on a quiet Sunday afternoon and the service was impeccable. Amazing hot chocolate and the banana bread was lovely. Very polite about the fact they were closing soon. Lovely chilled vibes.

Love this cafe! Nice vibe, good banana bread and tasty coffees, the staff are lovely and service is speedy. Water was immediately brought to us without us asking and the staff are attentive.

Baked beans, bubble and squeak are delicious. Portobello mushroom, tomato and fried egg were tasty. Each individual ingredients foods had a great taste.

Tasty hamburger, good Belgian lager beer. Full English and truffle, prawn, and Korean chicken hamburgers. Really tasty meal. £94 for 4 people. 10% service fee included. Don’t like it.
