Mandeep and Michelle are miracle workers.

I followed Connor from his previous hair salon and he has always done a brilliant job on my hair. I wanted to go back my light blonde in the healthiest way possible and I couldn't be happier with my results. He has always understood what I wanted and makes you feel extremely welcome from the moment you step into the salon, from every consultation and appointment. The building is beautiful and all the staff are incredibly welcoming, you can see real care has been made into the designing. I would 100% recommend this salon to anyone. I have recently brought friends and family to my appointments to get services from here and they have all come out really pleased!!

What a lovely experience. Reception staff polite and asked if I wanted a drink. Salon had a calm relaxing feel. Tamiera was wonderful, did exactly as I wanted. Hair looks amazing. Just what I needed. Was wanting a new hairdresser after a move to the area, there has been a few hiccups along the way so I am happy to have found a new hairstylist that I can now trust. See you all very soon.

I was so excited when I heard Alma was opening in Matlock, I had to book in as soon as it did! The booking process was so easy, all done online & confirmation given at the end. Upon visiting Alma, I was seated at the plush sofas and given a form to fill in. Once I'd done this, I was seated at one of the nail counters. I had my nails done with bio gel by Louise. She was so lovely, really friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. I opted for gold nails (a bit of sparkle for Christmas) and the treatment was lovely! I also had biogel toes so Louise asked me to take a seat by one of the foot spa basins. This was also lovely and I opted for navy blue which looked lush! I was also offered a drink which came with a gingerbread cookie. The salon itself is absolutely stunning - light and airy and very spa like! It's modern and classy and it's been renovated to an incredibly high standard! Prices at Alba are also super competitive! I'll definitely be visiting again and might have to book a massage soon! Thanks so much for such a lovely first visit to Alba, I'll be raving about you to all my friends and family! x

Went to try this hair salon with high hopes but was left underwhelmed. Loved the friendly customer service from the moment I first walked in and the nice touch of being offered sparkling water while waiting for my stylist. The stylist was very friendly too and good at understanding and being able to execute the desired result I wanted. However the reason why I only gave 4 stars and not 5, is it felt like I was being squeezed into a tight time slot and the service felt a bit rushed, and a bit lacking. I was not offered to have my hair styled at the end, which I’ve grown to expect from many other stylists of a similar price point as a complimentary part of the service. The stylist who did my hair dried it in a way that didn’t feel like a professional technique, just wafting the hair dryer around, not using a brush, so I didn’t even get the volume from a nice professionally done blow dry. Left with hair that just fell flat rather than having that special “fresh from the hair salon” feeling. In my opinion when you’re paying for a professional to do your hair, you would want to walk out having it look a bit better than any other day. If anything I feel like I have a better hair drying technique at home. For this reason, I doubt I would go back.

I had a wash and blow dry booked in with Chris - it was such a relaxing and positive atmosphere, Chris was so attentive and listened to my thoughts about styling my hair, as well as giving me suggestions and tips on how to style my hair in the future. My hair looked amazing! Very lovely experience and I’ll definitely be back next time! Thank you Chris and the rest of the team

As a visitor to the UK I had been struggling to find somewhere to get my hair cut and coloured. But from the moment I walked into the salon Ashley and the staff made me so welcome and they were determined to fit me in somewhere during my stay in the area. Megan has done a wonderful colour and cut that even my husband commented!! Ashley also called me back as a cancellation came in so I could also get my brows done. You are all team amazing, all of you so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, all of you. Would 110% recommend this salon.

I can genuinely recommend The Haven Salon... Prior to my first visit, I was lucky if I had my hair attended to on a yearly basis (I know), but thanks to Fiona's talents and helpfulness I'm now a regular Salon visitor! A very friendly, professional environment and always a friendly chat to be had!

Fiona took the time to listen and understand what I wanted in terms of both cut and colour. She absolutely delivered on both counts. Recently started using Fiona and have followed her into this new venture! I went to the new salon once prior to lockdown, and all appropriate safety measures were in place. I have very wacky hair colours and Fiona is never afraid to attempt what suggestion I have next! Even though it’s a time consuming process she always remains so calm, and her time management is amazing! I would not have the patience to do it myself! Amazing quality, amazing prices! Nina is such a lovely, warm friendly person, I went to see her as I couldn't do anything with my hair,it was long,thick and a struggle to look after. Nina layered my hair to give it structure and body. I also had it coloured to show through at the bottom.So many lovely comments from people saying they love my new hair style.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting FineAsia Hair and Beauty, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Nina is not only highly skilled but also incredibly friendly. She made me feel comfortable and valued from the moment I arrived. She helped me decide what to do with my hair as I didn't have a clue and I was so pleased with the result I cant wait to go back.

Verve is a fantastic salon in Matlock. I have been getting my hair cut and coloured by Sam for 10 years and am always super happy after every visit! His colour is particularly amazing and he is also really lovely and fun to have a chat with.
