The price was similar to the other well-reviewed company we met. The team started on the date agreed and kept us well informed of progress and any issues they found. At the end of the project they produced a thorough report with photographs detailing the work undertaken. At the final inspection our supervisor noticed that the scaffolders had accidentally broken a tile on our kitchen roof (not part of the project), they quickly arranged for it to be replaced. I manage our own apartment block and our flat roof was in very bad repair and leaking into several of the flats. It needed replacing. They carried out a relatively complex re-roofing in slate of our three-flat Victorian end terrace last autumn. Very high standard of work, easily visible in the lead detailing. The interior of the property has gone from always a little dank and damp, with dust hard to remove and mould growing easily, to warm and dry whatever the conditions outside. This quality of air change was apparent when they replaced first the front then the back roof. Ryan and Dean worked skilfully and considerately, while Joe and Gary were able to talk the project through openly and honestly at each stage, finding ways to resolve unexpected issues or necessary changes of plan. In particular, there was a persistent leak that was hard to track down but solved near the end of the project. Also appreciated their openness in inviting clients up on the roof to see and discuss the progress, which I did three times. Nearly a year later, the roof has proved resilient to heavy rain and there is every indication it will remain reliable for a very long time.

I had the GWS team undertake a roofing project on my house in the spring of 2024. I had a lot of damp coming into the house from the roof above as well as from rotting window frames/door going onto my roof terrace. The work involved multiple different trades to be coordinated to carry out the works from scaffolders, windows team, painters, carpenters and roof leading experts. I had an excellent first meeting with Joe to discuss the damp issues that needed fixing and he helped explain how his team would carry out works to fix the issues. He then organised for a detailed plan of works and costs. Once the works got started I was kept up to date by Gary who did a great job at keeping me informed of progress and any potential issues. The team on site were always very professional and able to answer questions that I had about the works. The works were done within the time frame we had discussed and to very high standards. Overall I am really happy with the work that GWS have done at my house and would definitely recommend them to others needing roofing works done.

We needed the entire roof of our house replaced. GWS offered a fair quote and honoured it. They were always on time, straight forward and pleasant to deal with.
