Wonderful. Went after a long day working outside. Lovely atmosphere, Great owners. The stilton chicken is lush. I also had half a burger and that too was very well prepared. Proper food by a proper chef.
Haven't been there for a long time booked in at 6 o'clock in the evening. Did the booking on line and you can look at the full menu as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly , couldn't fault the service. Make sure you are hungry as there is no small portions. Had the best fish n chips " the fish was massive " . Lots of choice in the starters and mains. Will definitely go back in the near future
Just had an incredible steak! best quality food I've had from a pub in a long while. I would consider it a gastro pub although presentation of the food is the only let down as it doesn't do justice to the quality which as mentioned was amazing. Staff were lovely, very understanding and considerate. over all atmosphere was quiet and friendly. Looking forward to coming back at some point. Staff and management are very understanding of certain requirements and made all preparations necessary to accommodate our party incredibly well!
Lovely pub. Could do with some better outdoor furniture. Nicely furnished inside. Friendly and helpful staff. Food reasonable but wine overpriced for what it was. Staying over night the room was generous in size with a large TV. Plenty of tea and coffee and chilled water in bottles. The bathroom was well fitted out but take all your own toiletries as none were provided. Breakfast is generous and well cooked but would have been improved by a locally sourced farm sausage. We enjoyed our stay.
