Booked a table a couple of weeks before Xmas 2024, when we arrived, shown to a table, and then told no mixed grill, no gammon and no steak. We then left and had a lovely steak at the little castle, so they did us a favour. No wonder it's nearly always empty when you drive past.

Friendly staff who got our drinks food order and to a table pretty quickly.We all had the Sunday carvery which was very good ,the leeks and cabbage could've been a bit less crunchy but overall it was a good plateful.

We went last night family of 9 to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We had a wonderful time, the service was very good and it was a nice atmosphere it was also very nice and warm inside too considering how cold it was outside. We was made to feel very welcome and the staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The beers were excellent there was a very good choice and our food was lovely and it was very nice and hot. 3 of us had the roast Turkey dinner and I couldn’t have cooked it any better myself it was delicious. Well done to everyone involved in our visit, we will definitely return. Happy New Year to you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We live in the area and this was our first visit to The White Heart in Calow. The new owners were friendly and welcoming and directed us to the restaurant area of the pub. The room was clean and decorated nicely. We were given menus and made our choices. The food was hot, presented well and there was plenty of it and we didn’t have to wait too long for it to be served. Whilst eating, we were asked if all was ok, and then we were left to enjoy our lunch. The only criticism I have is that the dining room chairs were all very wobbly… something that can be fixed easily. We will definitely eat there again and we wish the new owners all the best for their future at The White Heart.
