Nicola is an excellent tutor and we highly recommend. She successfully tutored our son to pass the 11+ exam. Our son enjoyed her sessions and looked forward to attending each week. The sessions were engaging and spot on in content and the exam preparation made sure our son felt calm and focused on the day. We will definitely use Nicola again for our second child.

Nicola at Forest 1st Tutoring managed to work wonders in getting our daughter up to speed in time for the 11+ exam. We left it very late in the day to start preparing and Nicola agreed to tutor across the summer term and summer holidays - primarily using group work with additional one-on-one sessions on top. The transformation in our daughter’s confidence and attainment was amazing. The tutoring would have been worthwhile regardless of the outcome as not only has she achieved a solid pass in the 11+, she has also been really well set up to make a happy and confident start to year 6.

My daughter has enjoyed her experience overall and her confidence in maths has improved. The only area which could be improved on is making sure the tutors are the same each week, as she really had one tutor that she liked a lot with his style of teaching. We would highly recommend Tim and his team of fantastic teachers. We discovered that our 15 year old son was well behind in his Maths and Science six months before his GCSE exams. He was also going through a difficult period in school at the time. Tim, Sonja and Mustapha were very positive and encouraging and patient with him. Our son also found the lessons with them to be interesting and engaging and he was able to focus the whole time. We are so pleased that we contacted Tim to support our 12 year old son’s Maths learning. After some negative experiences of Maths in Year 6 and year 7, his confidence in Maths was low. He had been moved down a group after a low test result and many changes of teacher in Year 7. After an initial chat with Tim, I was so impressed with his knowledge and understanding of Maths learning. Straight away, he was able to build our son’s confidence and he started going from strength to strength. Soon, he was achieving top marks in tests and was top of his class. Tim has really helped my daughter with her math confidence. She was completely blocked when it came to maths. Tim has created a wonderful rapport with her and convinced her that math is not so terrible after all, I cannot stress enough what an achievement this is! I would like to thank Tom for all the support he gave me during my A level Biology course. I achieved an A in my A level Biology exam. The A level Biology group lessons were very informative. Along with the information provided in the lesson, Tom used active recall to test us on our knowledge and engaged us in the lesson which deepened my understanding and retention of A level Biology concepts. Furthermore, when we answered long question types we would use an interactive whiteboard to answer the questions, and he would regularly check our work and provide areas of improvement for our answers. My daughter has been attending First Class Learning Eastleigh for over 15 months now and her improvements are incredible! My son has been attending the GCSE maths drop in sessions since the beginning of year 11. I only wish he had started in year 10! We added an extra 1 to 1 session in the run up to the GCSEs for an extra boost. Issac and Sean are fantastic teachers. My son has improved so much. Both Issac and Sean explain things in a way that he understands and at his pace. 100% recommend.

Allison and the other tutors are very pleasant and genuinely care about their students. They focused entirely on each child’s individual needs, ensuring they received the right support to thrive. My daughter struggled with spelling, and we attended these lessons for the past three years. My daughter always felt encouraged and looked forward to every session. We’ve now stopped as she has caught up with her peers, thanks to the incredible progress she made in these classes. It was sad to leave, but I feel like the project has been successfully completed.

Jan has been absolutely fantastic and finally my daughter at nearly 13 years old has been diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia. Jan worked with my daughter for 4 hours over two days and conducted the relevant testing. Jan explained everything thoroughly and clearly and both myself and my daughter were at ease the whole time. We have been lucky to find Jan and I am so happy that now we have answers. Without the help from Jan my daughter would not be diagnosed as unfortunately the schools don’t seem to do this so well. I highly recommend Jan at Southampton for diagnostic tests and tutoring. Thank you!

Our daughter Ellie moved to a 6th form college to study A level Biology where she was left to “self learn” complicated topics without support. We approached Wessex Tutors having been referred to them by a friend and we were matched with Helen.
