My child has had an excellent experience with Kumon at Yoko’s centre in East Finchley and we have been attending for the last 2 years now. We have particularly benefited during this pandemic and it has helped significantly in ensuring she continues to progress and excel.

My daughter has really thrived with the work she is doing with Kumon. She has become more confident in Maths and thanks to Yoko’s perseverance we have seen such a big leap in her attitude, to not only in Kumon math but to her school work overall thank you Yoko for all the hard work you do.

Yoko's Kumon programme has been fantastic for my kids. They enjoy the programme and it has become an important part of their everyday routine. This has been particularly important during the lockdown period. Yoko adapted the programme from day one and has continued to provide exceptional support throughout - with weekly paper drop offs and weekly zoom sessions and she's always responsive to additional questions. I can highly recommend the Kumon ethos and Kumon East Finchley in particular. Both my children needed a little help with math and English and have made such great noticeable progress, it has boosted their confidence as well. Yoko is highly organised, very accommodating and generally a pleasure to deal with, the children really like her too.

Kumon is form of home learning that works extremely well for my daughter. She was struggling with maths but within a matter of weeks she turned it around. She can now approach complex addition and subtraction equations in a logical fashion. This has boosted her confidence no end and is reflected in her school work. Her teachers have been amazed at the rate of her progress!

My daughter also does the English program which has greatly assisted her with her grammar and ability to spell elaborate words. This improvement is reflected in her comprehension and reading skills.

I marvel at the way in which Kumon is taught because Yoko and her staff take the time to assess the child in order to ascertain the appropriate level for their ability. The program is tailor-made for the child and they learn at their own pace. The staff are patient, understanding, encouraging and apply no pressure to make the child learn. In fact, my daughter is more than happy to complete the work sheet each day, which takes no longer than 10 minutes. Very little parental input is necessary.

From my observations, when the centre was open, the children are very happy, keen to learn and thrive as a result. The prizes and certificates that they gain due to making great strides in their learning doesn't hurt either. (:

The lockdown has changed very little as the weekly lesson is done via zoom.

I would highly recommend Kumon to any parent who has a desire for their child to achieve greatness. :)
