Paula is fantastic. She has been tutoring our 8 year old dyslexic child and the improvement in his confidence and ability has been amazing. She uses a multitude of specialist methods designed for dyslexic children to get the best out them. Theo now looks forward to going to this tutor, which is something we never thought would be happen. His progress has been noted at school as well as being visible in his general behaviour and attitude to learning. I couldn't recommend Paula highly enough. Paula has tutored both my children in literacy. I have been impressed with her tailored approach as well as her patient and engaging style which has made not just a difference in my children’s reading and writing skills but also their confidence. Both my children’s learning styles are very different and Paula has been flexible, finding what works for each of them, and harnessing this to maximise on their development. She always feeds back at the end of each session with personalised examples of progress made and area for further development . I took my dyslexic boy to Paula because he had lost all confidence in himself and point blanked refused to even look at a book. Paula was able to build his confidence in fun game's /activities. I heard him read books for the first time in years and it was a joy to see. My daughter also attended some sessions to give her back confidence and fill some gaps from COVID times , she helped her prep for year six SATs . My daughter is a fantastic reader but a terrible speller and her handwriting isn't great. Paula really helped her to look at what she was writing and how she was forming her letter's and things massively improved for her. We are so thankful for the help she provided for both my children.
