I knew nothing about lawns 4 years ago and had to do a major makeover of our lawn. Bill from Lawnsmith gave me so much advice and I’ve read lots on the Lawnsmith website. Last year I gave up on my front lawn. It wasn't lawn, it was moss and weeds. So I stripped it completely and ordered products from Lawnsmith. I applied pre seeding "Starter" fertiliser, watered it in and spread "Classic" seed as per instructions. I followed the recommendation to cover with polythene from a builders merchant and this saved watering daily as it held the moisture in. I did check regularly though and watered (with a very fine spray to save washing the seed away) as required. After the seed had germinated I removed the polythene and kept a check on moisture . I appliied Autumn and later on Winter fertilisers. This spring I used the Spring and Summer fertiliser which set the lawn up nicely until..... the dreaded Red Thread bug began to wreck the appearance. To fight this I applied a further dose of Spring and Summer and this worked wonders. The lawn now looks fantastic and is a great illustration of using these products against the standard all purpose fertiliser you find in garden centres. I am naturally delighted and love all the compliments we are getting! Lesson learnt, wont be using anything else in future, well done Lawnsmith.

I purchased some classic garden seed and, following the advice found on the website, transformed my front lawn in just about two weeks. Said purchase arrived promptly and was well packaged. I was fed up of having a scruffy garden. We have a nice south facing space so we get lots of sun (when it's out!) So I Googled for tips and after sifting through lots of other sites (lots from America) I settled on Lawnsmith.
