We used Take Root garden design’s “design in a day service” as our small garden required redesigning after a small extension had been built. Alison’s ideas were a perfect way to transform a large wall and some concrete bases we had struggled to integrate into the garden. Alison design included raised beds, integral seating patio and utility areas, with complementary planting ideas. The design is recently complete using a landscaping company recommended by Alison that I would also highly recommend. The garden is now another room in our home as it has been designed to be viewed from both downstairs rooms. This is the most pleasing aspect it definitely meets the saying of “bringing the outside in”. The colours of the bricks, paving and planting Alison design blends and complements our indoor room, very clever indeed, seeing is believing. If you want a garden which works for you and saves you costly mistakes I would highly recommend Take Root garden design. It is great value for money, with a design Alison produces which works, I would highly recommend this service.

Alison has done a great job for us. We moved in to a new home with a expanse of grass from fence to fence and being non-gardeners didn't have a clue what to do. On her first visit we gave Alison a long list of things we like or things we've seen in country gardens and expected she would use a couple of the suggestions, but no, she managed to incorporate every single one! Over the following 12 months Alison has been there to advise on layout, choosing and sourcing the plants and helping with the planting, with the end result being a spectacular garden. In fact, her imaginative layout is almost like having three different gardens depending on where you are sitting.

We asked Alison to help us re-design an area of our long established garden. She was meticulous in her measuring and note taking. A few weeks later we received her idea for our new patio/pergola. We were very excited to see what she had envisioned for us and we were not disappointed. Unfortunately due to ill health we have not been able to bring her vision to reality but hopefully sometime in the near future it will happen. Thank you Alison.

My wife and I are extremely happy with the detailed, measured and efficient work of Jon and Stuart with our garden work. We needed fencing, landscaping and a shed base constructing. My wife and I are always cautious about whether work will be undertaken to a high standard but Jon and Stuart have taken it to the next level. The work was undertaken during three consecutive days and within the time parameters they had set. They were hard-working, organised and always very polite. We will no doubt be requesting their help again with future work and have no doubts about recommending them to our friends and family. Once the shed is up and built, the next stop would be.. I love gardening but in the last 3 or 4 years I felt our garden was lacking something. I had ideas as to what I wanted to do with it but couldn’t put those ideas together and for the last few years for various reasons, Alan and I weren’t able to spend much time gardening. Jon and Stuart did the most fantastic job on our back garden. It is totally transformed. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout. Slow to review. Apologies. Evoke designed and then constructed our garden. From arrival to departure they were professional in every way. An eye for detail brought many pleasing touches to the design. Their portfolio of work reflects their expertise. They did not let us down. Year upon year we will be able to enjoy what they brought to us. They delivered on time (and even came back to tackle a snag list). Refreshing.

We called Darren up for a quote , he popped down straight away as he was nearby. We wanted some privet cutting and some bushes. We are selling our house so needed garden tidying up.He was able to do the job immediately which was lucky for us.He did a brilliant job. Tidied up the garden for us. Did some weeding too . It was absolutely red hot but he never stopped. Nice guy . Brilliant job will use again.

From the get go this was 1st class service. I contacted Danny via the website and he made contact me with next day. We agreed a time and date for him to come around and evaluate the work I needed completing. He arrived on time and listened to what I wanted, and a price was discussed. I had the team come around today (arrived on time) and they completed the job efficiently and to a high standard. The team was friendly upon arrival and go straight to it. I have never employed a gardening service before, but the professionalism and quality of work completed, I wouldn't hesitate having them around again. I would definately recommend their service. Mark and his team have looked after our garden for a few years now. Mark is reliable, hardworking, knowledgeable and trustworthy. No job is too big or too small. He keeps our leylandii in check and has improved our front lawn no end. He also looks after my father-in-law's garden. I always look forward to his visits (and a chat!) and enjoy looking at the garden when he has been. He provides a first rate service with a smile!

We have been delighted with Mark and his team in transforming our ‘new build’ garden into something mature and quite beautiful. Having been very happy with the creation of raised beds and the planting to front and side borders we asked Mark to come up with a plan to discuss for our very large rear border already housing 8 fully mature trees. “A walk in the Woods’ was an inspired design with steel moon gates, seating areas, pathways, water features and an outstanding planting design. We couldn’t be happier. The icing on the cake was just how personable and professional Mark, Jackie and Craig were. It was as if they’ve were doing their own garden !
