We used Take Root garden design’s “design in a day service” as our small garden required redesigning after a small extension had been built. Alison’s ideas were a perfect way to transform a large wall and some concrete bases we had struggled to integrate into the garden. Alison design included raised beds, integral seating patio and utility areas, with complementary planting ideas. The design is recently complete using a landscaping company recommended by Alison that I would also highly recommend. The garden is now another room in our home as it has been designed to be viewed from both downstairs rooms. This is the most pleasing aspect it definitely meets the saying of “bringing the outside in”. The colours of the bricks, paving and planting Alison design blends and complements our indoor room, very clever indeed, seeing is believing. If you want a garden which works for you and saves you costly mistakes I would highly recommend Take Root garden design. It is great value for money, with a design Alison produces which works, I would highly recommend this service.

I’ve just moved to a new house and am very keen to get stuck in with my garden, but was a bit overwhelmed with ideas and not sure what would be best for my space. We asked Alison to help us re-design an area of our long established garden. She was meticulous in her measuring and note taking. A few weeks later we received her idea for our new patio/pergola. We were very excited to see what she had envisioned for us and we were not disappointed. We asked Rob to maintain the garden at our parent's house until sold after they passed. Rob quoted turned up when he said and did a first class job returning as and when required. I would just like to say a massive thank you to Graham for taking my garden work on. From start to finish the lads have being awesome and I'm quite picky with tradesmen but have to say that Tom and Shaun have been brilliant and do work thier socks off and the finish product is awesome. I've had my front lawn taken up, cultivated and returfed and the back garden fence has been pulled down and a new one put up. The lads were punctual, reliable, friendly and very knowledgeable. Overall if I need anymore work doing then these are my go to indeed and will be recommending them to others

I can’t fault Graham and his team. They were putting in a long concrete path to give a flat access to our church hall. They were working by the Church and school and were really helpful to people by trying not to get in their way when dropping off children. Graham kept in touch every day to ensure we had everything we had asked for and the path is perfect and many parishioners have commented on the excellent work. I would definitely recommend Garden Revamps. Adding to this review as they have now finished the second section of work putting up a 6ft fence and two more gates covering a large area. Just as with the other job, arrived on time did the job professionally and worked hard to finish it for us. Looks great. Again would highly recommend and we will certainly use Garden Revamps again.

Graham and his team were excellent. Friendly, hard-working and a great price. The lads turned up early every day and did a fantastic job. Turned our derelict garden into a gorgeous patio and level grass area within a couple of weeks, around 140sqm. Their ideas on how to solve tricky challenges with differing heights and awkward corners were well thought out and their attention to detail was outstanding, they really care about what they do. Marc and Ben, have been conducting a garden overhaul for me in Almondbury. Initially with lots of pruning and clearance to now putting some structure and fencing in. Hard workers and give an honest assessment of the job.

Bought my 1st load of dried wood for a new wood burning stove. Marc was extremely helpful and had loads of great advice for a novice. Would highly recommend. Great value and great, friendly service.

Our garden was badly in need of a makeover. A sloping and uneven lawn, overgrown shrubs, ugly fencing, lack of privacy and impractical patio were some of issues we wanted to address. At our first meeting with Shaun and Callum they took time to really understand our issues and what we wanted to achieve. Unsurprisingly, the design they produced delivered almost exactly what we were looking for and we had no hesitation in engaging them to carry out the work. Sadly, Shaun passed away before the work started and apart from being very upset at his loss we were concerned about the impact this would have on the project. However, Callum calmly reassured us that he and Kieran (his assistant) would be able to complete the work. We decided to go ahead and in just over a month they removed overgrown shrubs, scraped the existing lawn, levelled the ground and laid a new lawn, built a block retaining wall and a raised border edged with sleepers. They also built steps and a sleeper wall and relaid a gravel path. They also moved shrubs around and planted the borders with new trees and shrubs to provide privacy and colour throughout the seasons. During the build we found them to be hardworking, reliable, collaborative, imaginative and personable. They also demostrated their flexibility by allowing our builder to lay our new patio before they had finished their part of the project. We are delighted with our new garden and highly recommend Callum and Kieran for similar garden projects.

From the moment I met Shaun it was obvious his passion was garden design. I explained what I would like from my mud pit, weed filled garden and Shaun got to work with a design. He totally took on board what I wanted and came back with a design that ticked all the boxes and the finished garden is a space that we can all enjoy now! Callum and Kieran delivered exactly what we were wanting in our garden remodel. Both worked with us to come up with practical and aesthetic ideas for our previously rundown garden. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and we’ve never dealt with more polite young men. As well as keeping us informed at every stage of the process, they were always keen to ask how each element of the garden would best suit our needs, whilst remaining realistic in what would both look and work best for our space. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and we couldn’t be happier with our new garden, just in time for Summer!

Shaun worked on a large garden project for us and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The project included a large dig-out, building new sleeper walls, installing decking, laying a porcelain tile patio, building new steps and a path, prepping and laying artificial grass, moving a garden shed, planting and much more. We had a blank canvas to start with and a strong idea of what we wanted to achieve. We were not only looking for a cost effective way to get the job done but also looking someone we could work through our ideas with to create a space that was sleek, modern and great for entertaining. We shopped around and got quotes from several landscapers. Shaun’s quote was the best value and his costs were transparent - he kindly itemised the costs for me as well so I knew it wasn’t just a figure pulled out of thin air like some garden quotes can be. Cost aside, what we really liked about Shaun after first meeting him was his upfront, honest and passionate approach to his work which you can see straight away. Shaun was fantastic to work with from day one. He kept us informed every step of the way and his daily updates meant we were always comfortable and reassured with each stage of the work. He understood our brief and was focused on making sure every detail was to our liking. Shaun clearly isn’t just a landscaper and has a real passion for gardens. His knowledge and experience in garden design and planting was especially helpful in helping us decide on a whole range of details during our project. You can tell that Shaun really believes in the importance of outdoor spaces and we had numerous conversations during the project about layout, storage, heating options, materials, lighting, planting, the list goes on! Shaun isn’t the type to rush through things so he can move onto the next job - His willingness and energy to push to make our space the best it could be was there right upto the final day of work. The finished garden is everything we hoped for and more. It’s a complete transformation of the space that has wowed and shocked our family and friends! It’s hard to explain or convey with photos the feel of the completed space. It has a balance and a continuity of materials, textures and themes that give it a real sense of atmosphere and mood - particularly at dusk. Ben, Andrew and the 2 Matts were an absolute pleasure to work with. They provided a very friendly and welcoming service to someone with little to no knowledge of landscaping processes. Ours was a small but messy and unkempt garden and it has been transformed by the work Landscape Creations have done. Ben was really flexible offering suggestions of how to reduce the initial quote costs to bring it to within our budget. And Matt x 2 and Andrew were happy to be flexible and make minor adjustments as the project progressed. Really happy with how the garden now looks and the quality of the work will mean it continues to look great for years to come.
