Really good garage, always fit me in, even when they are really busy. Polite and helpful and do a good job, worth every penny.

Called this morning to see if they could take a look at a noise my car was making and they made room to take a look on the same day! Didn’t charge me a penny to have a look and take up their time even though it didn’t need any immediate repair. Properly honest - can’t thank you enough!

I have been a customer of this garage for about the last fifteen years, maybe longer. They are honest (cannot be expected in all garages!), pleasant to deal with, and always do their best for me. The only downside is that they do not have a courtesy car, but their other good qualities make up for this. They will be my garage for as long as i live in Calderdale.

Subaru specialist, very knowledgeable, always take my car here. My car is there now having timing belt, water pump, thermostat, crank seal, diff bushes and oil leak fixed. Also changing gearbox and diff oil. Highly recommended garage, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Car packed and ready to drive down to London for work and had a tyre valve fail. I hastily drove round the corner with the remaining air in my tyre and expecting the nightmare of having to reschedule my entire week. Despite being clearly busy, the lads there promised they'd have a look and see what they could do despite my Toyota needing a specialist valve which they knew they didn't have. 45 mins later they called me to say they'd managed to implement a temporary fix which would allow to continue my journey safely. Coulda kissed them. They said the price was a nominal cash amount plus a packet of biscuits! They were lavished with all the snacks I could carry. What a fantastic set of lads and will be returning to have any future work done there. Can't speak highly enough of them.

Car was squeaking with rubbing brake calipers; Central Garage were able to clean and adjust the calipers rather than replacing them, which saved me unnecessary expense. I also took in a squeaky bullworker at the same time and asked if they could put a bit of grease on it to stop it squeaking. Impressed when I can back, and someone with welding skills had managed to remove a dent in it (which I had assumed I would have to live with).

Dave and his team gave a first rate service after my front suspension spring broke. They advised me not to drive my vehicle. The work was carried out in a very good timely manner. First rate service A+++++ highly recommend Dave and the team.

Fantastic garage. Knowledgeable team. I have used them for 5 years and they’re trustworthy and upfront about the work required. If it had to point out anything it would be that there can be a bit of a waiting list to get in. But that’s just the price of being a good garage.

Brilliant garage. My exhaust snapped whilst I was (luckily!) around the corner from them and they helped me out straight away despite clearly being busy with another car. Exhaust fixed within two hours of taking it to them with no fuss whatsoever. Good price too, even though they could’ve easily taken advantage of the fact that I was in a panic and needed it sorted with no notice. Super lovely guys, will use this garage from now on. What a team! After being charged an arm and a leg by the Škoda garage, these folks lopped a third off the price, did everything I asked for and sorted a few things I didn’t (no extra charge), then when a component broke a week later replaced it, again no charge. Efficient, practical, friendly and they don’t rip you off. If you live locally stick with Star!

Nice friendly local garage, changed a tyre on my camper in next to no time with no problems at all. Only a couple of quid more than cheapest big name tyre co and saved me the drive into Halifax. Nice to support local businesses.

We have taken our car here for over 5 years. They are always friendly and professional. Particularly impressed by their honesty, on a few occasions we have taken the car in with what we think is a problem and it turns out to be something trivial like a loose screw, or even a switch we flicked by accident and didn't realize. Rather than make up some fictitious work to charge us for, they'll charge nothing, or just £10 or £20 if the problem required minor work.

These guys are amazing, honest and very friendly. I've had some trouble with my cars in the past, Elliott and Gail were so patient and helpful, Elliott even wrote a report on my car when it was going through the ombudsman and they kept my car in their secure compound for over a month while I was having difficulty with the financial side. They have definitely got a life long customer with me from now on. Gail is so friendly over the phone and in person, a very warm and welcoming face at the reception. They'll go above and beyond to be as helpful and honest as they can be, thankyou guys 😊

These guys are absolutely fantastic. My partner broke down and managed to park on their car park. He's a mechanic and had all his tools with him but needed a new part. They ordered the part and had it delivered in the hour, gave him directions to go and get something to eat allowed him to change it on their car park and once he had finished brought him inside and told him where all their cleaning stuff was for him to get clean. Absolutely amazing so helpful. The work they were doing looked incredible. Even though we aren't from the area we will definitely be bringing them our business. Thank you for all your help today.
