Outstanding service, my vehicle’s suspension spring had snapped at last minute. I was recommended Thompsons by another garage. Unfortunately my dad’s funeral was in the next couple of days therefore I needed to have the work completed as soon as possible, the lovely gentleman at Thompsons managed to fit me in and complete the work needed to enable me to make my dad’s funeral! - I couldn’t recommend enough! Had my car recovered yesterday, front drivers side wheel would not turn. So instead of dragging it up the truck the driver (Adam) went out of his way to go back to the yard and get a dolly to save my car from any further damage. When I arrived in Folkestone from France, my car was showing multiple engine error codes. I was genuinely worried about the condition of my vehicle, and to make things more difficult, I don’t speak English well. But this garage – and especially the mechanic I spoke with – went above and beyond to help me. Despite the language barrier, he patiently tried to explain everything. We used a translator and even ChatGPT to communicate back and forth. He read the error codes from my car and explained in detail what might be causing them. He showed great knowledge and professionalism. Not only that, but he also recommended a Volkswagen dealership that could help with the specific parts I needed. He even printed out a route map on his computer so I could easily get there. And the most impressive thing? He refused to take any money for the diagnostics and his help – even though I offered and insisted. This experience left a deep impression on me. I wish him the greatest success, lots of good and thankful customers, and strong health. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
