It was a coincidence we dropped by and took a seat. I bookmarked it as my favourite cafe straight away! I just love the environment and how friendly the staff was. We had the best ever Egg Florentine and crunchy waffle with bacon. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone :)

Amazing pastries (particularly pistachio brioche, greek filo pastry and chocolate and pecan pie), lovely staff. Would definitely go again if in the area. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a local cafe with great coffee and food

Merritts Coffee Lounge is a friendly cafe in Ashurst. With its roaring fire and comfy seating, it’s a great place to have a coffee and warm up after a winter walk. The menu offers a range of homemade brunch items, as well as delicious cakes. Although it didn’t look exciting, the omelette I had for lunch was absolutely fantastic. My husband had the skillet crumpet with trout, and raved about it. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and it was a great place to start or end a range of lovely New Forest walks. Overall I had a great visit, and if in the area again I would 100% return.

Really special coffee at this super friendly coffee lounge. Also, the food is top quality - I'm particularly partial to the bacon waffles - a very naughty treat! It's 5 stars from me ***** GREAT WALK AS WELL! - to compensate for the cakes there is a beautiful walk just up the road... turn left when leaving the lounge and keep going straight- you end up entering the beauty of the new forest!

I had an appointment with Lilly and Freya, and they are quite extraordinary. They worked on my tooth for nearly an hour, and, unbelievably, once the anaesthetic wore off, I had no discomfort nor needed any painkillers. They calmed my nerves every step of the way and made me feel extremely comfortable. I have found my new dental practice and, with confidence, can recommend them to anyone. Thank you

First impressions - couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Two months later and after six appointments - a brilliant experience. Top notch service by a dedicated professional team who give the impression of thoroughly enjoying their work and genuinely putting the interests of the patient first. Friendly smiles, and not just dental smiles, are in abundance everywhere. This is the first dental practice that has inspired me sufficiently to bother submitting a review, and I have visited several. Without hesitation, I award it five stars. Like many people, I used to be a very nervous patient when it came to visiting the dentist, however from my very first appointment at Gwynne Dentistry a year ago I no longer feel that way. This is due entirely to Georgina, who always makes me feel welcome and ensures that I am ok throughout any process. She explains what she will be doing and has a very caring, reassuring manner. Georgina is the best dentist I’ve ever had, she really looked after me when I had my wisdom tooth extraction. I was in so much pain and so worried but Georgina was reassuring and painlessly removed my tooth, Whilst I held the nurses hand! Also the receptionist is very helpful too! I must also say how spotless the surgery is.

I was very pleased with my recent appointment with the dental hygienist. It was a great experience, probably the best I've had at any dental practice. Both Naz and her nurse assistant were gentle and kind. They were also patient and understanding with my disability. I would recommend them and this practice to anyone.

Outstanding service- thank you. I needed an emergency appointment due to severe tooth ache and was able seen at 11am the same day. Dental nurse and dentist were great - quickly establishing I needed root canal treatment and booked me in for the following afternoon. Later that day the pain became increasingly worse. When asking if there was anything they could do to help they offered me an earlier appointment (outside of usual hours) that evening to start the treatment and alleviate the pain - above and beyond customer service! The procedure itself was pain-free and over within 1.5hrs. I’m now waiting for the 2nd appointment in a couple weeks.

Following recommendation from 2 close friends I went for a free consultation with Dr. Jeff O’Connell as my front bridge of 30 years was broken and in danger of falling out. I was extremely worried that my weak dental bone structure would mean that my only option would be a denture. However, Dr. Jeff gave me the confidence that a new bridge was definitely possible. So, following an extensive treatment plan, 4 months later (I had a few planned trips in the summer), I now have a new smile! It includes a new front bridge (5 teeth) and 2 new crowns. I also needed root canal treatment. All the staff I have seen have been very explanatory and caring, including the dental nurses. I didn’t feel worried at any stage of my treatment. It has definitely been an excellent team effort led by Dr. Jeff. Giselle and Jess are a very welcoming reception team, keeping me informed if it was necessary to make any changes to appointment times. I would highly recommend The Dental Group to family and friends. The quality of my new bridge has left me feeling very confident as it feels very stable and comfortable. My thanks to all at The Dental Group.

Just back from a lovely visit here. 2 breakfasts, tea, 2 cake and an Oreo milk shake all for £28. Great service and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Happy Sunday! Edit! My wife told me I must tell you about the bubble and squeak! She added it to her breakfast and enjoyed every bit! We will be back!

My 90 year old mum wanted to come here as one of her first times out for something to eat since the pandemic started 2 years ago. The LTS is a well decorated clean tea shop. Its upstairs so hidden away. The stairs are steep but mum managed as there was a rail. Good strong cups of tea and an excellent breakfast choice with many variations possible so it worked well for the 4 of us .Prices are good and so exceptional value especially as the breakfast was good.

Lovely tearoom, with friendly staff. Food was really good and there was plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices too. The table on the far side is on the uneven part of the floor which gives a strange dizzy feel (similar to the upside down house we recently visited! 😅), so we asked to be moved, which they kindly did.

Stumbled across here by chance and so glad we did, a warm welcome and a warm restaurant on a chilly day. Staff were attentive and genuinely friendly and the food was wonderful. Definitely will return the next time we venture to Alton.

Visited today as a family for a check up with Nitha Jose. She is so kind and really takes the time to explain things which is reassuring. She spoke to my 5 year old about her day at school to relax her and was really gentle. I can recommend this dentist especially for children or nervous adults (like me) and the practice generally. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful too. Thank you Burridge Dental Practice!

I have just completed my 2nd course of treatment since July,one needing an extraction and the other a crown. I needed short notice emergency appointments for both which were readily provided. The service provided by the team was excellent, and Matthew although a young dentist has provided the best dentistry I have received as an NHS patient for over 55 years. Well done and thank you.

Ive not long joined this practice and I have nothing but praise, my dentist is Matthew, being a nervous patient I was very anxious at my first treatment appointment, I was very quickly reassured and was the most relaxed I've ever felt in the dentist chair, Matthew is both confident and professional in his work, a totally refreshing dental experience! I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Delicious innovative dishes in a lovely relaxed setting. My friend and I treated ourselves to the 8 course tasting menu which was actually more like 11 courses. The seafood is beautifully prepared and presented with many innovative touches. The flavours are unique and the ingredients are of the highest quality. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying the different seasonal fare. A highly creative team and the front of house staff are relaxed, welcoming and friendly. Fabulous experience. Cannot think of a better pick me up or treat to myself.

I have only given them a 5 star review simply because there wasn't any more stars available. We enjoyed everything from the moment we walked in. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the chefs coming round to serve was a nice touch. The food was exceptional. We went for the 6 course lunch. Though busy, we didn't feel rushed, and each table got the same level of high service. It's quite telling when all the overhead conversations are about the food. This is definitely a must visit/experience.

Just had a near perfect birthday lunch, here. Four course tasting menu with wine. Not cheap but truly memorable. Will return without doubt. Revisited the restaurant for our anniversary, this time for an evening meal. The food and service were once again excellent. A wonderful experience.

Tucked away in Liss just off the A3 is a really great restaurant waiting to be found. Some really solid and interesting cooking using some great ingredient’s. Canapés of Beetroot Arancini and Choux pastry with Parmesan was lovely and savoury. My starter called Oxtail puff was a Pitivier style puff pastry filled with shredded soft rich oxtail in the most delicious onion veloute….this was truly delicious, smooth and rich full of flavour and topped off with a slice of duck foie. The main of saddle of venison was cooked beautifully served with turnip and preserved plum and a small crisp samosa filled a rich stronger filling. We Finished on a beautifully light rhubarb soufflé served with a great rhubarb sorbet and torched lemon tart. The restaurant it self is small and seats about 16-20 and you feel like you have stumbled upon a hidden gem tucked away in the country side that people are keeping quiet.The service was relaxed and informal….pouring your own wine/water isn’t a problem. Places like Nathan’s don’t usually last long but they have proved that serving great food in an intimate setting works ….Go it’s well worth the effort…They have a strong following so booking a table can be a challenge.

Absolutly the best of the best and they live up to every expectation of their impeccable reputation ! Friendly, warm and marvelous in every way. I wish I could give you 10 stars. We stopped by for Saturday lunch whilst we were in the area and the food and service were somewhat mixed. Between the two of us, we shared the scallops and cured monkfish for starters (both nice and well presented), the mushroom and spinach risotto (great flavour) and the lamb chops (these were dry and disappointing considering they cost £29 for two small chops) and tomato salad as a side (this was ok and probably wasn't necessary). The service was also not super attentive or warm.

This was our first time at Restaurant Six and it won't be our last. Menu options were terrific making it hard to choose and the food that arrived was top notch. My only negative is that we were seated in their small dining room upstairs and this is so dimly lit reading the menu and seeing what you were eating meant carefully positioning the table light.

Was going to Petersfield for a totally different reason. Surprised my partner with a spontaneous lunch time meal. Found this awesome restaurant with outstanding food. The food was fresh with quality ingredients. Anastasila was very accommodating. Go give this place a try, you wont be disappointed.

What a lovely lovely place ! The atmosphere was 10/10 and cosy room and decor makes the place ! The service was beautiful and the girls working were very friendly! The food was outstanding. They made my birthday dinner beautifully ! Highly highly recommend! The scallops were incredible 👌🏼

Fabulous tasting menu, each course kept getting better. The wine pairing with it was very nice. With notice they were able to adapt for my allergies and it was fabulous food. Staff were so helpful and charming. They obviously have a passion for their food. Lovely cosy setting in an old building. We will definitely be back.
