The owners were so welcoming and thoughtful, great for a chat too! And the food, tried the ham and leek quiche and it was just what i needed on a rainy day! Definitely gonna be a regular! Edit: just tried the sitrus cake, oh my goodness its so good!

We had a lovely takeaway salmon and asparagus quiche made to order for collection during the lockdown. Also picked up flour as they sell a range of essentials at the moment

A great deli, which we will be sad to see go. Robert has done many birthday cakes for us over the years and their selection of fresh food for breakfast/lunch is great.

Great golf course, dry and in good condition even in winter. Only negatives are the proximity of the road and the need to cross it twice. Clubhouse bar has some great beers and the carvery lunch is very good.

Superb course, played it Jan 19th in 4 degree weather. Played of the whites and it’s a serious test of golf. Some very challenging long par fours but some very gettable par 5s. Great par 3s except perhaps 17 which does let the rest of them down slightly. Course was in great condition given rain and frost, can only imagine in peak times it would be utterly amazing. Would love to come back

We played the course today, and what a treat it was. I work as a maintenance contractor for many prestigious Surrey golf courses and I have played some of the best courses in the UK. I just played Formby last week. I have to say the condition of the course was better than any higher ranking courses in the area. I was absolutely blown away by how true and firm the greens were. The fairways, tees and aprons. 5 * condition. The course manager and his team have a clear passion for what they do. Absolute class. Esp for the time of year and the amount of rain we have had recently. Even the heather was better maintained than neighbouring courses. The new holes and layout have been so well executed you would never know which ones they are, but they have made the course so much better. The rye grass walk ways are a thing of beauty as well. Nothing is wanting here. I’m not sure why the course hasn't got a higher ranking in the top 100?

Brilliant service. Asked for a once over winter tidy up of our garden. He was very quick to respond to my initial enquiry message. Within a few days he popped round to look at the garden, chat about what he could offer and gave pricing as well. Steve was very professional and went above and beyond of what I was expecting. I am now just hoping I can get onto his regular rota.

Jason has now been a life saver on several occasions, always answers messages by return, always happy to come out and assess the situation and suggest a solution or fix temporarily until he can do the permanent fix. Most recent issue was a leaking very old hot tank that he has now replaced and all working much better thankyou. He is so knowledgeable and gives great sensible advice. Having had an extension done a few years ago, we have had multiple issues with the new plumbing. Those plumbers have since gone out of business (shock) - and i struggled to find a plumber who could come in and fix the various issues honestly and with integrity. I was finally recommended to Simon and I'll never change! He's responsive, upfront, clear and fair. He runs it how a business should in 2025 with clear and quick invoicing and whatsapp messaging. Barry and team did a fantastic job replacing the felt, battens, some beams and some tiles on my 1960s roof, plus replacement fascias, soffits and gutters and a refresh of my porch. He was amazingly responsive and good at communicating, and his team including David and Tom were excellent.
