First time visit to this cafe and what a gem! Ordered a cafetiere for two and a full English breakfast and a vegan breakfast. The food was delicious and the menu states it's locally sourced. The meat breakfast was 2 sausage, 2 bacon, mushrooms, tomato, beans , hash brown and toast for just under £10. Everything was good and fresh. The coffee is also local to the cafe and was a good cup full of flavour. I will visit again the future!

A lovely little find to finish off our quick visit to Halifax! Limited seating inside but the weather was nice enough to be outside. Service was second to none, so friendly without being intrusive. Breakfasts were beautiful. Cake indulgence will definitely be on the cards for the next visit! From “the love birds” xx

Lovely spot for a drink and snack along the canal. I had a mini vegetarian breakfast which was the perfect portion size to justify getting a cake for the walk home. The chai latte was delicious and the selection of Hip Pop kombuchas and sodas are great cold drink options. The menu is large, with a range of portion and dietary variations - I'll definitely be back to try more! Service was lovely and friendly, in a cosy setting on the canalside. The perfect pit stop when visiting Sowerby Bridge :)

Had a lovely meeting this week ,in a lovely little cafe in the heart of rippendon - Ryburn records . I highly recommend the hot choc and homemade cakes delish 😋 .

Lovely vibe in this local cafe - busy enough to be interesting and quiet enough to enjoy a really good coffee. We had 2 of the sourdough toasts, both of which were delicious, but top prize went to the hummus with pickled carrot. Delicious!

I called in here for coffee and cake and it was a great experience! I had a lovely flat white with beans from North Star coffee roasters in Leeds, alongside a delicious homemade slice of chocolate Guinness cake. The atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable and the staff were very friendly and engaging.

Enjoyed a cool drink and homemade cake here today, staff very friendly and helpful. Good to see and hear the records being played .. sound quality was great and not as I remembered it! Will be back!

First trip to nicky's this morning after running past loads of times. Definitely won't be running past again! Sausage and egg sandwich was delicious and almost the size of my head.! Nicky was a bit concerned our coffees may not have been hot enough (we had no complaints, they were absolutely fine) so she gave us another on the house! Outstanding customer service, how it used to be. Can't wait to go back! Thanks for feeding us 😊

I used to travel past here for work. Quick stop for a spam and black pudding sandwich, would love to go back that way.

Definitely the best breakfast around, really worth a detour

I came across this place today I was visiting some friends, a quaint little cafe with the most amazing home made cakes and food. The place was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was lovely and hot and was of good quality. We had a breakfast and the fried eggs were lovely, NOT greasy and runny yolks. We got a pot of tea it was massive and for £2.50 it was enough for 4 cups between us, I've paid over £2.50 for a small cup in the high end coffee shops.i had a huge piece of brownie that I'd say was one of the best brownies I've ever tasted, and I was told they all home baked. The cafe is dog friendly too. I'll definitely go back, sadly it isn't on my doorstep otherwise I'd be eating cake there every day 🥰 if you in the area give this very reasonably priced cafe a visit, you will not be disappointed 😊

Been going there once a week for a few months now. Home made soup is excellent and the breakfasts look really good. Fast friendly service too.

Lovely café with good food and good service. Coffee, tea, milkshake and lunches including a toastie, prawn sandwich, and a tuna mayo jacket potato, followed by home baked cake. And all for less than £30. Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly hosts. Lovely deli attached to it with a selection of cheeses, pies, cakes, etc.

Lovely little tea room/cafe adjacent to a farm shop. Food all home made and freshly cooked. Love the English breakfast with two runny fried eggs. They also still have hand sanitiser dispensers on both entrances. Well done. Wish more still did

Top tier sandwich shop, everything we had was home made including the coronation chicken. Lovely staff and loads of parking! Will definitely be back

I got the mini breakfast. By far the best breakfast I’ve had out. The best scrambled eggs. Insane. My girlfriend for the full English. 5* and the service and owners were lovely.

Called in for a sandwich but ended up choosing a salad box, which was absolutely delicious - made to my liking (no peppers please) Staff were chatty, friendly and helpful.

Lovely staff and home cooked food. The best scotch egg I've had, chilli flavoured but not overly spicy just tasty with a golden yolk. Great coffee too was offered a double shot 🥃

The food is delicious and the new Brisket Burnt ends and pulled pork BBQ boxes are fantastic. Go try them out, I highly recommend them.

Can I just say wow! We have just stayed at the Alma Inn for two nights and it was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and we sampled a wide variety of the menu. The staff were all very well trained and attentive. They made our stay! The rooms were lovely and dog friendly too. We had room 4, 6 and 7. Room 7 has a roll top bath! The showers in the other rooms were very powerful. Everything was just perfect! If you walk down the hill from the pub there is a nature walk and stream. Brilliant location. We will be back again next year. Thankyou 😀

My wife bought a boxed salad today from your cafe, and she said it's the best boxed salad she has had ever. Value for money and loads of lovely different ingredients in it, very filling. She said she will definitely come back again.

Great value for money! I especially like that they have different specials on all the time with very generous portions. The girls themselves are lovely, funny and caring people who care about their customers! Wouldn’t go anywhere else for my dinner now.

Stumbled across this shop but it's hands down the best BLT I've ever tasted. And the ladies serving were lovely x highly recommended.

Just like to say a big thank you both from us all at the Co-op. Lovely breakfast sandwiches we had this morning packed with plenty bacon, Mushrooms, etc will definitely be regulars. Also had a Beef & onion, horseradish and your lovely homemade relish last week which was delicious😊

Had a wonderful meal here with other half and 2 friends. The beef pie was beautiful, burger was great too.. the cheesecake was one of the nicest I've ever had. Lemon and ginger.. ☺️👍🏻friends had the chocolate brownie and chocolate fudge cake, both were great.. staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service was great. Will definitely be coming back.

One of our favourite local places to walk to! The staff are really wonderful - friendly and knowledgeable - couldn't be better! The food is great and the menu has definitely improved over the last few months with plenty of options to choose from. The pie and peas were so good! The bar bakes are a must - absolutely delicious with a special offer if you buy a hot drink! A fabulous pub with great staff and tasty food in the delightful village of Ripponden!

Nice little pub on the bridge in ripponden nice area outside to sit or eat inside in the beautifully old walls. Good selection of AF drinks always a winner 🏆 The food was nice and well presented. Service was good although a bit slow but didn't take away from a great experience. I had the pepper and spinach chilli and my partner had the Cajun chicken loaded fries 🍟

We come back here, year after year. The service is very warming & made welcome. The Sunday Lunch of Roast Beef is absolutely Devine, faultless in fact. Dessert was Biscoff & Mars Bar cheese cake with ice-cream & Cherry Bakewell with Custard.

Great food, had a booth wood burger, the Mrs had a lamb burger. Both were well presented and tasted great. Good selection of drinks behind the bar. All staff were excellent, attentive and helpful. It's a lovely pub, some good outdoor seating. Will call again.

I have eaten here several times now and each time I have enjoyed myself. The food is tremendous and good value. I couldn’t believe the size of the fish I was served- it was ginormous! The staff are always very welcoming, very courteous and polite. Sarah, Jane, Mirella and Molly served us yesterday, with either food or drink. Hats off to the ladies and the chef! I would recommend this pub very highly.

Great food! Lovely friendly staff and great Music on a Friday night. Also the outdoor seating area is brilliant too! What more do you need.

Excellent pub. Really cosy and welcoming feel. Staff were good. Food was excellent. Had the duck bon bons to start which had a nice crispy coating and then great duck flavour. The burger was good, maybe a bit less juicy than I’d really like but great flavours and you could tell the chef was preparing everything fresh and with care. The chips were amazing. Crispy and cooked in beef fat so full of flavour. It was busy so definitely book in advance. They also had a live musician start around 6pm which really suited the atmosphere of the pub. It’s not far from the Saddleworth exit on the M62 so defo worth visiting if you’re looking g for a stop off away from a service station.
