Nice little cafe just wonted to see the cafe where there filmed last of the summer wine

A visit to Sid's Cafe here in lovely Holmfirth is an absolute must for all fans of the BBC TV longest running sitcom, 'Last of the Summer Wine.' I had a nice cup of tea, bought some super TV 'Summer Wine' character postcards and soaked up the rather special atmosphere of this very unique place! Nice, friendly staff and a very interesting and memorable picture and photographs display from this classic TV show. Thank-you. Loved it! Not to be missed! 🙂

What a wonderful place to have afternoon tea! Staff are nothing but friendly and efficient. Proper northern hospitality in a warm and friendly cafe. The location and significance made my Dad very happy. I had a jam and cream scone, which was huge! With a great portion of clotted cream *drool* and my parents each had a bacon buttie cooked to their liking.

I love it ❤️ An absolute legend of TV history. With the sun beaming and smiling from everyone, it was great. The little courtyard was a joy. Parking around the centre of Holmfirth is sparce, so you have to be quick to find one and possibly pay for a while longer as there is loads to see and explore. We will be back to Holmfirth... ❤️

Visited for the first time yesterday and will definitely be going back. It's kind of a quirky place set in what looks like an old mill. The wallpaper and theme is fab, the staff are lovely and the food is gorgeous, all homemade, including their own baked beans. Definitely recommend.

Had lunch with a friend and it was my first visit. EXCELLENT! First class. Lovely staff, super food. Loved it.

Not very busy. Mine was nice but my husband's wasn't hot enough. After waiting an hour for it he didn't want to risk sending it back and said it tasted lovely, just cold. Cake was lovely.

£20 for lge latte and dirty chai latte, carrot cake and cinnamon bun!! There was nothing on the menu or the board about charging 60p for a large ( frankly this was more a small cup), plus nothing also stated that there is a charge for oat milk!!

Went with a friend in June 2023. Staff welcoming as we entered, was a busy Saturday but managed to find a table - seats inside/out (mostly covered in case of rain outside). Menu small (often a good sign in my opinion) but plenty we could pick from. Three cheese on sourdough toast was delicious! Coffee nicely done as well. Staff friendly and chatty. My only slight dig was that I couldn’t find a menu online to look at beforehand. Would definitely return again next time I’m in Holmfirth.

Called here for breakfast and the place was very busy, with seating inside and out. Nice atmosphere and lovely staff. I had cheese on toasted sourdough, which was fine. I would have preferred regular bread a sourdough gets quite hard when it's toasted but otherwise it was good.

Brilliant place to eat, cooked breakfast was great, staff were friendly, overall I highly recommend 👍

Well, went to the corner café Sunday morning for breakfast drove from Sheffield and come up on this little gem. The breakfast was the best I have ever had and I’m a fisherman and I source good breakfast places out, but this was no comparison to anyone other before mushrooms, plum tomatoes, and an egg cooked to perfection, and besides that the staff were absolutely fantastic. I would recommend this little gem to anyone that goes to This Cute village 10 out of 10. Hope to see you again thank you.

We had the small Breakfast!! It was lovely, poached eggs were perfect, included 2 slices of toast and a lovely coffee. Really good price!!! Excellent service, really friendly 😃

Called for an impromptu brunch. Wife had a bacon sandwich which came in a white t-cake while I had a ham salad sandwich which came on thick sliced granary bloomer with additional salad and coleslaw and crisps on the side. The food and presentation were excellent. 2 medium lattes and the bill was less than £20. Lovely. We'll call again.

We go often for our weekly meeting. Absolutely brilliant gem of a cafe. The coffee is always top notch. And served with a pleasant smile and hello. Always walk in to a warm welcome no matter how busy the staff are. Very friendly and welcoming venue. We had to try the breakfast burger a couple weeks back. And the only thing I can complain about is the fact I haven’t tried it before. It was delicious and a proper burger patty. Cooked well not over or under cooked just perfect. Great food with lovely staff and a nice warm atmosphere. The soup was homemade and was exquisite! Well worth a visit.

The staff provided excellent and amiable service. Although I only stopped by for a quick cup of coffee to enjoy outdoors during a break, the food options appeared delectable. Both the interior and exterior were meticulously maintained, creating a clean and well-organized environment. However, I would like to offer a minor critique. Some areas of the cafe could benefit from additional lighting. Additionally, the sign outside stating that only food ordered for "sit down" can be consumed in the garden area could be revised. I believe that regardless of the nature of the purchase, it would be more welcoming to allow customers to briefly occupy a seat while consuming their coffee purchased from the cafe. This policy could be reconsidered, especially when it does not involve busy periods or the consumption of food and drinks from external sources. Overall, I intend to revisit the establishment and potentially order food based on its appealing appearance.
