A lucky find. Very friendly staff serving good food at reasonable prices. 3 generation family visit and all of us happy with the food. They even modified the lunch menu choices a little to accommodate our preferences.

Best roast I’ve ever had in a pub, and I have v high standards :) Also had lunch & dinner on a weekday and equally as impressed! Everything is homemade which is sadly rare these days. Will definitely be back!
Had Sunday lunch at the Pelican. Very warm welcome on arrival and lovely friendly service throughout the meal. Food was of a very high standard too and we will certainly be returning.
I was in the area for the week and had dinner/lunch here three times. The food is fantastic and the Guinness is top notch - and the staff are also very helpful and friendly!
